      Wow thanks man . Appreciate that. Yea I love those horror sci Fi sounds. I just put out a beat tape that was totally inspired by that type stuff

    5:54 that’s funny you say that because people say the swing from the 3K comes from samples NOT being edited tightly. The space before or after the sample makes the player place the samples in a way that gives the beat a unique swing

      This is in my experience cause I feel like I rush through the chops on the other machines. These are tighter than anything Ive done on my live or 2kxl .

    Chopping by numbers makes you think about how long the chop is so you set your recording time to just slightly over so you start before you want and finish just after, then trim the chop. It's quick and you just do it after you get used to it. I think it's faster than messing about with a visual wave. Glad you are enjoying the process

      I am. Enjoying the sound and the feel of the machine more than anything

      Good point. I love my Mpc2000xl and the visual wave with the fast slider method but I think chopping by numbers and not seeing the wave is better cause you really focus on hearing the sound. And thats what its all about when it comes to making music.

      @@jstreethiphop I couldn't agree with you more. Once I got used to chopping by ear instead of by eye it became much quicker and I could chop very small sounds to the exact points that I need them. Sound is processed by ears not eyes so once your ears are tuned in then in my opinion the ears are superior to me. I use practically the same method on the XL too, just to speed up the process

    Did you EQ and compress those drums or is that straight out the 3000? Them shits knock !

    • @SauceSoundz
      @SauceSoundz  11 місяців тому

      That's straight out of the 3000, I did eq them a lil bit but, no compression, no plugins, just straight from the machine into my mixer than into my daw. Thanks I been blown away how much better my drums sound with the 3k
