Why a mono over a poly? More control, easier to tweak?

@@strafer8764 I can only say for myself. I prefer using a a mono for bass and lead lines, and a poly for strings, pads, horns and effects. Both can be used to do both and I do use them alternatively that way as well but ideally it's mono for one and poly for the other as it gives me the sounds that I want and it's efficient. I can use a mono and do everything, drums included but I have to use more tracks to get the harmonies. Sometimes I will want that sound so I will use a workflow to do it. Chords can be on one stereo track with a poly and done in one pass. I would use mono tracks to do chords with a mono synth.

@@RoomAtTheTopStudio I see what you are saying that makes sense. That sold me on a mono. Would you go analog or digital if you are making most of the music on hardware?

@@SauceSoundzbut since you got some beats in floppy this actual scsi drive makes sens too. The ide drive takes is not hotswapable and take place of the floppy.

I actually didn't connect them . I should have used midi but I just basically cut the samples in the live 2 and sampled them in the 3k and finished the beat there

Yea in a few months I racked up on a bit of gear. I added a Behringer crave to the arsenal too. But that's it. I'm done. I wanted a few different sounds I could midi up together. Now I just wanna dig deep and get to know them. The crave sounds huge btw. The hydrasynth keys are pretty much the same jus maybe a centimeter give or take bigger. Thanks for watching !!
