"Freeforming is not neglecting your hair" so true for free forming as well as manicured locs. A huge misconception that aids in the perpetual idea that locs are dirty is that we don't wash our hair. So far from the truth
Kris yu are spot on about freeforming, yes we need to sperate time to time, an only do maintenance when needed, but keeping our dreads clean is di most important thing. And staying away from products dat do nothing but cause build-up....wen it comes to Bob Marley's dreadlocks they are totally di most awesome dreads ever; not only was Bob's message bold, righteous, & di truth...his dreads, weh those congos were di best....much love mi bradda
0:55 ...I understand what you are saying..however I wouldn't use the words "manipulate".. Bob is actually quoted saying "I just wash it and leave it"...he made it clear he didn't separate his hair nor did he manipulate it.
Awesome video! I would like to see a video with you speaking on seborrheic dermatitis and loc care and no oil loc care. I will apply your method of oiling only when the scalp is dry and only after a wash. Tenki o
@Kris McDred....I am trying to make the weak part of my dread strong with crochet. I watched your the video you made about it but I didn't get it yet, do you have any tips?
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!! "When i go to wash my hair, my twist will unravel & i always have to re-twist them 1 by 1. I use a doo rag to cover my hair while washing so it'll stay intact, but it keeps unraveling. How do i keep my twist locked in whiile washing?? my hair grows in slow but very thick & its very curly. Does anyone have any recommendations??
I might have tried free form if I had been younger when I started. It was unacceptable enough for me to have locs as an older lady, so I decided to skip the more wild part.

It only matters if it’s acceptable to you go ahead and do it so you can have that experience and don’t regret not doing it
@@Inktownicon Appreciate the encouragement Addison! I just wasn't that brave. I do have locs, and I love them, I just had them done in a day. 🙂
