Here's my build to him now: Magic Boots, Windtalker, Haa's Claws, Zilong's Spear, Berserker's fury. The spare items are Sea Halberd and Blade of Despair. Argus: [2500+ Matches, 66% Winrate Solo]. Mutliple Global titles since season 3. Argus' Main aspect was the ability to burst down, split push and get out of tricky situations whilst dealing damage. Essentially a glass cannon. Hence the usage of his ultimate is absolutely vital when it comes to fighting. The main issue we have it that our early game laning capabilities are really lacking when faced across stronger laners like YZ, Ruby, Freya etc due to our lack of sustain and damage output being gapped in comparision to them. Sure you could camp your turrent till level 4 for ult to "lane/farm better without less risk of dying" but even then you're still fighting disadvantaged when you're losing gold and minions and they have been piling up constantly. You get gapped really easily as one mistake can set you back from achieveing that late game dps by alot. Increasing the ult cd to min on someone who is completely ult reliant makes them more prone to being bursted down by other heroes for free and being able to play properly on the battlefield. Because argus' ability to split push effectively allowed teams in unfavourable positions to make their opponent retreat to that lane making the teamfight easier to handle. Decreasing his ability to split push effectively ultimately affects how he can help his team and backdoor for no reason. In my opinion the 2nd phase of his ultimate makes no sense to me (what was the point of adding it), no one in mythic glory-immortal is going to attack argus when he is in ult before this addition since it built energy but now it just made that even more rewarding for the enemy since after it runs out, boom! argus becomes a free kill and easy gold. The only thing of note I can say about the changes is that the 2nd passive proc on enemies is mediocre. Normally when you lane or try to poke with argus you use first skill (proc passive) then first skill out, (you will only use 2nd skill if you are certain the enemy wont be able to react to the additional attack, For example: I would not combo with 2nd skill vs paquito that has skill cooldown off because he can just punish me for it very easily) but with this change I guess you are rewarded more for landing it allowing for a 2nd passive to proc but the point still remains that you wouldn't be able to go for it half the time depending on the situation, especially if you're trying to not lose hp so they don't force you to use your ult defensively because you got punished. Overall, I believe majority of the people who say its a "good" thing for argus clearly don't understand nor play him properly at all. I also understand that the current balancing and update team are not very knowledgable and are doing their own thing for the past few years. This reflects on their previous adjustments such as the fanny adjustment allowing her way too much freedom on energy with her cables letting her dominate once again for no reason whatsoever. Tldr: These developers have let me down and the playerbase constantly with their scummy and brainless actions.

Yeah, he's worse again now since his ult cd is too slow. I mean, the 50% reduction won't do much if you're just using it to survive a hit. Instead, if you took a fatal, it's basically game over since you'll need about a minute to rejoin a team fight properly.

After clicking the ultimate, the enemy who is inside that ultimate range will get immobilized to prevent the enemy from escaping. Either you can use it to escape or you can use it to kill the enemy in the early to late game and also bring back his 2nd skill damage 300-400.

Removing the heal from hitting non hero unit in his ult is diabolical, there's so many time i survived because i hit Minion using Argus 2nd skill to gain full hp
@@clonnlijinhlong2713 it's not always 8sec, it can be 5 sec or 7 sec depending upon when you activate his ult on receiving fatal damage, 8 sec is very hard to achieve (except for tower damage cause it's easy to calculate) because enemy hero damage can be very random, plus if they have sky piercer with 50+ stacks, then forget about thinking you'll get a 8sec ult
Argus not being able to charge his passive or gain a full stack when hitting creeps is sadly too much, added with the fact that they heavily nerfed his tower pushing abilities
Argus needs more buffs .15 percent attack speed a better way to get crit chances.Also now when he pushes towers his passive doesnt regen which wasnt mentioned they have to fix it.His burst damage is better but but now he is he does way less damage.

As a global argus with 1k+ matches, I can say that almost everything about argus' kit has been nerfed to the ground. First of all, they tremendously decreased the health regen every time his passive is triggered, reduced malice energy regen and made him even more dependent on crits than he was before. His skill 2 has also basically been turned into a useless one-time-use skill. The pre-nerf skill 2 gives him 2X malice energy for a period of time, helping him get more crits and deal damage in teamfights. It also helped a lot in early-game laning phase. The new argus on the other hand, has a useless one time use skill that gives him a full malice energy bar once, and that's it. Not to mention the horrible damage it deals (300 dmg nerfed to 120 dmg), and the reduced speed on the cursed trail for whatever reason. His ult has been nerfed, contrary to popular belief that it has been buffed because it can now last 8 seconds. Cool, it can last 8 seconds but enjoy waiting 60 seconds before using it again. The cooldown nerf makes argus a horrible slowpaced character that barely does anything the whole game. The AoE damage that was added is also unnecessary and just slows argus' damage down because it stops his movement and attacks for like 0.2 seconds. Almost forgot to mention some of the other nerfs like the removal of getting malice energy from attacking turrets. This nukes argus' split push potential completely and makes it slow af. Also, getting HP while Ulting from Minions, creeps, Sun Clones, Popol dog, and more has been removed. This is a huge change not many people are talking about. This used to save me in many situations. If you ult and end up not hitting any enemy heroes, enjoy dying to burning damage the moment the ult runs out. And yet moonton calls this a "buff"!

This makes cooldown reduction items a must buy for Argus now. Great Dragon Spear, Magic Boots, and even Hunter Strike or Fleeting Time. H*ck, even blue buff is very important, and if you're desperate enough then in the late game you can even buy magic potion instead of strength potion.
I mean not really your ult is already donw to 44+ after it ends assuming you proc the immortality state also your gonna use it alot for fishing squishy hero heck even tanks in the kate game with full crit you can actually shred them, team fight like big clash doesn't happen than often so either you use it on a team fight, fish enemies out, or use it for escape either way the cd is not that bad. So yeah its more important to have 90% crit than anything at this point that's what the devs intended cuz full crit is unli passive that can melt anyone His basically a duelist that can't chase anyone that has a mobility skill but destroy anyone that can't escape him in the late game hes so ass in the early to even begining of mid game

The passive allows a 30% reduction on cooldown for each kill and assists)

If you maintain over 60% to 70% WR on Rank,the dark system will activate Longer que and mostly 2 or 3 teammate moonton will used as dark system. If you play 5mens and all ur teams had decent WR the que will take way longer thn usual, maybe around 10 to 15 minutes depends on the server
Also he should recharge his pasive from his 2nd skill from the jungle and summoned enemies like before and maybe give him 100percent recharge on his passive like before
Try Alucard Exp, rush Thunderbelt then build Rose Gold and Endless. At level 12, he will have 48% life steal=48% hybrid defense, then add the hybrid defense you got from thunderbelt and you'll have a tankier Alucard with great sustainability. Works on solo queue and low stars like me 😁
I feel like Sun is meta on mythical, it's mega easy to win with him and he gets a lot of kills, apart from that I see him often. Yesterday I played 5 matches with sun, I won 10+ kills and only 1 or 2 deaths, assists 9+. Generally, as I said after Buff and with the new gold rose meteor, it's hard to kill him, especially since he has an additional +20% attack speed and +10 life steal.
Better if they add an additional special skill in Argus ult like if you press ult it will automatically taunt enemy in certain radius so that his ultimate will not be in waste also it will be a great AoE CC addition since it is an EXP/Jungler role.

I've never read patches about hero adjustments, but after playing argus like i normally do, i noticed that his damage is now lower. Because of it , I struggled with how he works during mid game

Hi, I just wanted to ask if they implimented the rank choosing role in the lobby in the new patch? I've been reading the whole patch but I'm afraid I didn't even notice it.
Forget the new mechanic changes, Had moonton just make his passive extra attack also generate malice energy (this could not work vs turrets) and that would already be sufficient. He becomes more consistent in all game phases, and trinity build would still remain to be viable and be less niche.
They should buff argus sometime later and make argus 2nd skill still keep the double passive slash and revert increased malice energy gain and lower the cooldown of the ult to somewhere near the old cd like 2 secs longer and the reduced cooldown will be alot faster i know but and also the passive slashing during ult should be kept too so he can fight with more tanky exp laners and keep the 2 phase immunity incase of ganks and bring back the during ult passive heal on minions his base damage should be lowered and movement speed bonus during ult should be removed to counteract the bringing back of old skill mechanics to his kit with also alot less heal now being based on lost hp%.
As an argus jungler, this isn't an early game buff but a late game buff. The fact that they reduced argus' effectiveness against minions and especially creeps forces him to be on exp however, this doesn't matter in the late game. It seemed like Argus is a "hidden knife" as no one expected argus to go jungle so despite the buff on it's ultimate and passive, this would give more attention to Argus and would hinder my efforts to suprise and overwhelm the enemy with late game Argus jungle.

To my knowledge, argus has never been truly broken as a hero (i have been playing since december of 2016) outside of maybe his first revamp when his passive (on a full damage build not attack speed or crit) was doing enought to 1 shot squishies (it had 3 strikes instead of 2 and it also was a target lock which followed reguardless of blink distance) Moonton must really really hate argus after they let that loose for about a week.

Alucard can get real tanky real fast with new rose gold now. Give him thunderbelt and rose gold as his early items, and he will be so hard to kill when his ultimate is active (extra lifesteal AND defense if enemy heroes are marked)

Harith and Badang may now rest in bans. Harith is a killing machine especially with those dashes. He was quite strong before, but at least he was not banned and I could enjoy playing him, but he is back to being a ban/fp hero. Badang on the other hand with thunderbelt, CD, tanky build is just fucking unkillable. Once you are stunned, you're dead for sure.

I think his nerf is pretty crap because it is why people dont use to play argus,which is his ult used to be having a long cd,now they are back to old long cd for his ult,which defeat the purpose of using argus,no matter how they buff it,his cd nerf on ult is an ultimate hammer to silence the argus player
Yeah, he's worse again now since his ult cd is too slow. I mean, the 50% reduction won't do much if you're just using it to survive a hit. Instead, if you took a fatal, it's basically game over since you'll need about a minute to rejoin a team fight properly.

After clicking the ultimate, the enemy who is inside that ultimate range will get immobilized to prevent the enemy from escaping. Either you can use it to escape or you can use it to kill the enemy in the early to late game and also bring back his 2nd skill damage 300-400.

@@clonnlijinhlong2713 it's not always 8sec, it can be 5 sec or 7 sec depending upon when you activate his ult on receiving fatal damage, 8 sec is very hard to achieve (except for tower damage cause it's easy to calculate) because enemy hero damage can be very random, plus if they have sky piercer with 50+ stacks, then forget about thinking you'll get a 8sec ult
They even reduced his damage to half, it's depressing now

I used Harith earlier not aware of this buff and his dash is definitely faster.
As a global argus with 1k+ matches, I can say that almost everything about argus' kit has been nerfed to the ground. First of all, they tremendously decreased the health regen every time his passive is triggered, reduced malice energy regen and made him even more dependent on crits than he was before.
His skill 2 has also basically been turned into a useless one-time-use skill. The pre-nerf skill 2 gives him 2X malice energy for a period of time, helping him get more crits and deal damage in teamfights. It also helped a lot in early-game laning phase. The new argus on the other hand, has a useless one time use skill that gives him a full malice energy bar once, and that's it. Not to mention the horrible damage it deals (300 dmg nerfed to 120 dmg), and the reduced speed on the cursed trail for whatever reason.
His ult has been nerfed, contrary to popular belief that it has been buffed because it can now last 8 seconds. Cool, it can last 8 seconds but enjoy waiting 60 seconds before using it again. The cooldown nerf makes argus a horrible slowpaced character that barely does anything the whole game. The AoE damage that was added is also unnecessary and just slows argus' damage down because it stops his movement and attacks for like 0.2 seconds.
Almost forgot to mention some of the other nerfs like the removal of getting malice energy from attacking turrets. This nukes argus' split push potential completely and makes it slow af. Also, getting HP while Ulting from Minions, creeps, Sun Clones, Popol dog, and more has been removed. This is a huge change not many people are talking about. This used to save me in many situations. If you ult and end up not hitting any enemy heroes, enjoy dying to burning damage the moment the ult runs out.
And yet moonton calls this a "buff"!

This makes cooldown reduction items a must buy for Argus now. Great Dragon Spear, Magic Boots, and even Hunter Strike or Fleeting Time.
H*ck, even blue buff is very important, and if you're desperate enough then in the late game you can even buy magic potion instead of strength potion.
Don't forget about Ultimate fleeting time.

I mean not really your ult is already donw to 44+ after it ends assuming you proc the immortality state also your gonna use it alot for fishing squishy hero heck even tanks in the kate game with full crit you can actually shred them, team fight like big clash doesn't happen than often so either you use it on a team fight, fish enemies out, or use it for escape either way the cd is not that bad. So yeah its more important to have 90% crit than anything at this point that's what the devs intended cuz full crit is unli passive that can melt anyone
His basically a duelist that can't chase anyone that has a mobility skill but destroy anyone that can't escape him in the late game hes so ass in the early to even begining of mid game

Also he should recharge his pasive from his 2nd skill from the jungle and summoned enemies like before and maybe give him 100percent recharge on his passive like before
Try Alucard Exp, rush Thunderbelt then build Rose Gold and Endless. At level 12, he will have 48% life steal=48% hybrid defense, then add the hybrid defense you got from thunderbelt and you'll have a tankier Alucard with great sustainability. Works on solo queue and low stars like me 😁

I feel like Sun is meta on mythical, it's mega easy to win with him and he gets a lot of kills, apart from that I see him often. Yesterday I played 5 matches with sun, I won 10+ kills and only 1 or 2 deaths, assists 9+. Generally, as I said after Buff and with the new gold rose meteor, it's hard to kill him, especially since he has an additional +20% attack speed and +10 life steal.

I've never read patches about hero adjustments, but after playing argus like i normally do, i noticed that his damage is now lower. Because of it , I struggled with how he works during mid game

Had moonton just make his passive extra attack also generate malice energy (this could not work vs turrets) and that would already be sufficient.
He becomes more consistent in all game phases, and trinity build would still remain to be viable and be less niche.

They should buff argus sometime later and make argus 2nd skill still keep the double passive slash and revert increased malice energy gain and lower the cooldown of the ult to somewhere near the old cd like 2 secs longer and the reduced cooldown will be alot faster i know but and also the passive slashing during ult should be kept too so he can fight with more tanky exp laners and keep the 2 phase immunity incase of ganks and bring back the during ult passive heal on minions
his base damage should be lowered and movement speed bonus during ult should be removed to counteract the bringing back of old skill mechanics to his kit with also alot less heal now being based on lost hp%.

As an argus jungler, this isn't an early game buff but a late game buff. The fact that they reduced argus' effectiveness against minions and especially creeps forces him to be on exp however, this doesn't matter in the late game.
It seemed like Argus is a "hidden knife" as no one expected argus to go jungle so despite the buff on it's ultimate and passive, this would give more attention to Argus and would hinder my efforts to suprise and overwhelm the enemy with late game Argus jungle.
Argus sucks now because his sustain is weaker and also he can't heal from attacking non-hero units when he is in his ult state making. 😢

To my knowledge, argus has never been truly broken as a hero (i have been playing since december of 2016) outside of maybe his first revamp when his passive (on a full damage build not attack speed or crit) was doing enought to 1 shot squishies (it had 3 strikes instead of 2 and it also was a target lock which followed reguardless of blink distance)
Moonton must really really hate argus after they let that loose for about a week.

Alucard can get real tanky real fast with new rose gold now. Give him thunderbelt and rose gold as his early items, and he will be so hard to kill when his ultimate is active (extra lifesteal AND defense if enemy heroes are marked)

Harith and Badang may now rest in bans. Harith is a killing machine especially with those dashes. He was quite strong before, but at least he was not banned and I could enjoy playing him, but he is back to being a ban/fp hero. Badang on the other hand with thunderbelt, CD, tanky build is just fucking unkillable. Once you are stunned, you're dead for sure.
