“Dad why was Sensei’s divining top banned?” “Here son, watch this video.” I have both of these decks and even I can say top was just too much this match.
Always sad to see Joe lose. Even so I love Sensei’s Divining Top. Definite slow play by grixis calmly gathering lands… evening them out… tapping, then thinking, then untapping…. It’s the kind of thing that just can’t be enforced. It’s a game-within-a-game. Sure, the slow player assures they aren’t, they would never. At the same time it’s in the back of his mind: “the onus is on him to kill me, and I don’t have to help him do that. I’m up a game, so welcome to ‘Game Actions ‘R Us,’ population: You.” He knows he’s slow playing- you can tell in just the way he takes game actions. Joe knows he’s slow playing. And he knows that Joe knows that he’s slow playing, but can’t do anything about it.
This was in no way tops fault, louis is just playing way to slowly, its infuriating that the judges dont give him a warning or anything because he is consistantly slow, it shouldnt be legal to spend 30 seconds per game action
34:34 grixis player intentionally playing slow probably to run the clock. Picking up each and every card like he’s Yugi Muto heart of the cards style. “I won the first games it’s your problem if you can’t kill me.” They have a table judge sitting right there, further confirming my outspoken opinion table judges are useless.
Patrick and Cedric are national treasures, and them talking during sideboarding is one of the best things ever.
+patrickinverness It's usually pretty comical xD
I'm not a huge fan of top, but I don't think you can blame top for the painter player's pace of play.
See, guys like this painter player are the reason so many people want top banned. And, I can't blame them. Louis's pace of play was atrocious.
Painter player plays reallyyyy slowly..
+Sim Jian En Joe plays way slower for a miracles player. The amount of trash talk he spews out is faster than his miracles play

Almost fell asleep watching Louis (not) Gentile top-spinning/mana-tapping/hand-moves-over-the-cards stalling...
