Village Wedding (1962)

Berrick Salome, Oxford.
Farmer's daughter, Anne Weller gets married to Eric Botting, and her father invites the whole village.
Various old fashioned bicycles and tricycles including a penny farthing are ridden through the village streets by people in old fashioned clothes, including an 'old time copper' - a policeman with 'handlebar' moustache. They have all been invited to a wedding. There is sequence of people bell ringing. A man in a white coat stands by a barbecue turning a huge roast joint.
The bride and groom pose briefly for the photographer outside the village church, and the people arrive through the muddy lanes to where the wedding reception is being held, in a field. Drinks are provided and the bride is toasted. The bride is seen carving the huge piece of beef for the guests, who enjoy beef with bread rolls and beer. There are shots of people in Victorian dress laughing and eating. A small girl presents a bouquet of flowers to the bride and groom.
Note: Guests included The Passey Troupe of old time cyclists, from the nearby village of Benson, with their collection of old fashioned bicycles.

@@samarthios I'm really sorry to hear that, your parents wedding in this clip looked wonderful. My grandparents got married in 1961 and were married for 58 years until my nan died in 2019 at 80. Grandpa is still alive at 82.
