Regarding fiat 500 auto, from what I remember they are a manual gearbox with a servo actuated clutch, and motors to change gear.if they're anything like the Corsa c easytronic, the oil seal on 1 motor will have failed, resulting in no neutral selection.change of motor should fix.
I had an A180 for years same engine as that . I'd swear it was possessed ! it loved limp mode and I couldn't trust it to go anywhere ...I'd fix one thing then another dodgy electrical gremlin would pop up....never again will I buy an old merc....I hope you have more luck with yours .
Hi Mark, another great video & i enjoy watching someone else doing the practical jobs for a change. Have you checked out the latest video from DIYdaly? He had a Mercedes with a similar problem but replaced a different sensor next to the one you have been testing. Keep up the good work & hope you get it sorted out.
Try a different code checker that’s all you can do apart from the test drives but to cover yourself still get auto electrician to give it a clean bill of health
Great demonstraton of the jiggle the wire/connector test.
on some cars, where the wires meet into the connectors, they are the fault, Thanks for the video

Hi Mark could it be the bonnet isn't earthed just a thought
That lil bit of open wire , maybe a lil electrical tape to seal it , hope it stays OK
Mercedes are a pain in the ass with wiring faults it don’t help that many Mercedes are now Renaults in drag
That Merc driver's door looks like it's had paint in the past.
The pins should just pop out with a thin screw driver had similar issue on a Skoda to change a bare plug for a new one
Every time you unplug connecter it will set a code.
just buy the plug. and put it on your wires
