Dear friend, I really appreciate the restoration. Unfortunately you made a fundamental mistake of painting the well machined surfaces like circular bed, pillar where drill stock move etc. Nobody with right sense never touch those highly surface grinded parts except polishing it after removing the rust. Painting will not serve any purpose. One more suggestion is never use metal rod on cast iron body which will easily break or crack. Instead use wooden round rods. Otherwise it is a good work. I, too, hated to see the table painted, and it looked like that chuck had been beat pretty badly. I guess it works, but I would think it needed replaced. Good job, however, making the drill press usable again.
