Ive got a rock climbers chalk bag I clip onto a belt loop for small items I use for night photography. Keeps essentials right at my waist especially in the summer when I don’t wear a coat.
My husband has been a location scout/manager for movies/tv over 25 years. I showed him your video and he said they’re all great tips. I’m thinking of getting him the gloves. Thanks for the great video!
I’ve shot photos for about 34 years now and have been pro for about 10 years and the only thing I have on this list is Lightroom. 😄 I don’t even have a backpack or camera bag. I try to be a minimalist in this area too. I feel like these lists can get overwhelming for people but remember what ansel adams said “the single most important component of a camera is the 12 inches behind it”. You and your camera is all you need. 🤍 but great list. 😌
I tell you this every time I can listen to you all day! Your editing is flawless. I use the Viola 2 RBG light, looks like a comparable size to your aputure RBG. I've been using T-5s & T-7s for awhile but will switch to velcro over the gaff tape, btw that's my go-to accessory. I shoot night so it's a good idea to focus (infinity) and tape the lens barrel. Safe Travels!
the peak design capture clip is the best thing i've ever bought for photography. like second only to my camera itself. makes my life infinitely easier. if i had to keep my camera in my bag while hiking i would never take it out
I have a pair of the gloves very similar to the ones featured here. Warning for those of you who fly a drone, the magnets in the glove will cause constant compass errors.
With the pandemic, I lost my job. I canceled my Adobe Photography bundle and switched to ON1 Photo Raw (after watching another UA-camr who tested various apps.). Lightroom is great, but I didn’t want to lease it anymore. I also bought the Vallaret Ipsoot Gloves because I tend to have cold hands. These were just too thick and clunky. For now, I have hand warmers in my backpack and coat pockets, with a pair of insulated wind proof gloves. Thanks for the vlogs! (New sub here)
I’m in love with so much on this list - PD gear (all of it, especially the tech pouch!). I’ve been debating on the Samsung hard drive because I’m currently using the LaCie 1TB but you may have just sold me on it. ♡ This photography/videography noobie just subbed!

Hi Allison, thanks for these smart suggestions. I already have many Peak Design stuffs except the Tech Pouch too expensive (very good alternatives exist). One question : do you need to go though a computer to copy files on Samsung T7 or is it possible directly from the camera ?
Similar video to 80% of everyone else’s bag in the photography UA-cam scene. My favorite photography accessory is an electric longboard and a moped. If the phrase “F8 and be there” means anything, a way to get to the spot is the best accessory. (No need to buy legs usually)
It fascinates me how different photographers have different must-haves. I've never bothered with an SSD drive, uploading to the cloud instead. I have a PeakDesign tech pouch but never use it. Instead,I have a small card case that holds batteries, business cards, and media cards. I agree about the LR subscription though, I couldn't manage without it.
I think if the T5s are cheaper, and you're a photographer, stick to those rather than the T7s. The money you pay in exchange for the max speeds on the T7 don't really make sense unless you're doing video work, or always have access to usb 3.1 on your devices for the max transfer speeds, cos otherwise they're effectively the same for a photographer.
Surprised there are photographers not using Lightroom. It seems expensive, but worth every penny. And if you are a student ;) you can get all Adobe products for like $33 per month.
lol non of these are must haves. NON. hahaha. want a must have? A SPEEDLIGHT! that's a must-have. I have lightroom... but capture pro is just as good if not better.
What are your favorite photography accessories?
Nice video 😀

Really enjoyed your suggestions! Thank you for the video.
Zippered Quartz size plastic bags
Anything that starts photography is a lousy idea.....it carries a premium price.

generic and boring like any other youtubers background

I bought the Ona Bowery bag because of your recommendation, waaaaaay back in the day! I still use it all the time and it has aged beautifully! :)

Time change! 🙂 My 'camera bag' four decades ago to hold my Nikon F2A + Motor Drive or Hasselblad 500 C/M was an Army Surplus Ammo pouch.
I LOVE THAT CAMERA BAG!!!
I’ve wanted the Vallerete gloves for so long, love the magnets!!

I am a huge advocate for harnesses what's your thoughts on those? And recommendations for smaller bags that are less purse looking?
Just got into photography, so I love this! Thank you 😊
Definitely getting all those Peak Design gadgets. They seem so great!

Nice colors!
Lightroom is so important , game changer
I LOVE all your photography videos!
I am an engineer and despite my technical background, I can barely watch tech accessory videos till the end because they bore me but I savored yours!
I’m so basic about photography but your reviews are so authentic I trust you so I just buyyyyyy. Trying some of them out soon!
Great looking functional gloves. All around good gifts. Have a wonderful Christmas!
You speak the truth Allison. I am definitely shopping for me, lol!
Great ideas, Allison. Thanks!
What lighting do you use for your videos? 😍 I want those gloves and everything in this video lol!
Love your light setup, do you have a video on how you did it? ❤️
I have a pair of the gloves very similar to the ones featured here. Warning for those of you who fly a drone, the magnets in the glove will cause constant compass errors.

I’m not super into photography, those gloves still look nice though 👀
The coffee shop in your photos looks like Buro in Vancouver. 😎
This video was just in the nick of time! My stepbrother is a photographer and I’m always struggling with what to get him for Christmas. 🎄 📷🙌🏼
Did he ever get you out from stuck in the washing machine.
This is an awesome video. I'm getting ready to travel with my A7SIII, and was looking for gear I should get!

Great video! For the portable SSD, can you plug an SD card reader into it directly or do you need to go through the laptop to move your photos to it?
I JUST bought my first camera so this video is much appreciated :)
I’ve heard mixed reviews on those gloves.. people either love them or dislike them. But those brown ones look nice 👍🏼
New to photography and loved the content. I shall be subscribing, many thanks from rural Lincolnshire uk.
"I'm just shopping for me" I felt that 😂

Allison, why do you do this to me? lol now, I gotta spend money to buy those gloves now. Thanks for sharing! good stuff

Which lens your using to make this video?
Please reply
YESSSS A NEW VIDEOOOOOO haha
Do you back up your photos to the cloud? Any recs??
This is really funny, I have, and use 9 out of your 10 Must Haves. Great gear heads think alike.
Glad youtube recommended this video! Subbed!
You make me want to be a photographer 😍
Will the magnets in the gloves screw with a memory card or electronics in a camera or lens?
I have been using “magnet” gloves for around 4 years without any camera or memory card problems.
Curious - what do you do for sound on your channel?
literally want to gift these to myself
I would love a video explaining the best laptops 🙂
Can’t believe I’m one of the firsts to watch 🥰 love your videos!
I love gifts from me to me 😂
I want the clip and ssd, hopefully christmas gifts coming hahaa
cool video.

Tripod and lens cleaners
Sorry, but I can’t see the link to the product list.
10 accessories that you need to buy so I don’t have to get a real job 😂😂😂😂
Call me weird but I love feeling the cold air numb my hands while taking photos idk I like the challenge too lol

Yo! I thought I was the only one with a Velcro SSD... 😅
