I have the same undercabinet puck lights. Assuming yours were designed for old school halogen bulbs like mine, have you switched to the newer LED replacements? I haven't yet - still have some halogens to use first.
You're calling the tile cut a hack and yet you have some serious shiners on your conductors. Why would you get rid of the loop on the wire? At least the tile job won't hurt some one or cause a short.
I'm just glad someone did it themselves. I dislike the configuration of that Leviton, but I guess some organizations deemed it adequate. Are those 20 amp? And did you test your GFCI with a tester from the new outlet.

Yeah 20 amp and no I didn’t test it yet but I will.
I thought 20A needs the T shaped plug for the hot.
So weird that hot and neutral are on the same side.
