Handle a gun with great care even when dragging it out of the cut. Point it in the direction of least consequence! I found myself ducking and flinching even while watching this post 😂

get out of the habit of putting your hand across the muzzle . it might just be clean enough to be a problem

I know that the majority of Britts don't have much or any experience with firearms so this comment is not meant to be mean or condescending in any way. Please take a firearms safety course. I don't care how long that gun may have been underwater, you need to treat it like any other firearm. I cringed about a dozen times during that intro as you flagged everyone around you with that 1911, including yourself. If gun safety classes are difficult to find where you are, feel free to reach out and i can get you and your crew squared away with training.
Again, this comment is meant to be constructive. I have a couple decades of professional firearms training and experience and I will take the time to help anyone with basic safety instruction any time. Free of charge.
    Love the video, stay safe.

I have mentioned this before as they always seem to look down the barrel of any gun they find

    • @donaldross4217
      @donaldross4217 Рік тому

I was taught to never look down or never point or put anything in front of a gun even it’s loaded or unloaded
If you did you got a slap on the head and banned from the range forever
I was in a gun shop a few years ago and a guy said look down my barrel at the rifling
I promptly told him to do one and he shouldn’t be doing it himself

From a retired USA police officer, no matter what kind of gun it is, the only thing you should point a barrel at is something you’re going to kill. Be it new or 100 years in a pond.
Learn how to handle a firearm safely and assume all guns are loaded and WORK. It will save someone’s life sometime!

Treat everything that has the potential to go `boom, viz` with respect, Even today people are killed by ww1-2 ordinance.

The mills grenade central well is for the striker assembly only, the explosive content is housed in the outer circumference of this.
A MILLS grenade you can see through end to end is potentially LIVE containing Amatol or baratol explosive. This can become very unstable with age and can explode without warning as the explosive contents separate. The filling screw has to removed to determine if explosive is present, and these are usually rusted in.
Don’t attempt removing contents, it’s not worth dying over!
Forward venting blank firers are illegal!

If I could have had a pound for every call out I had either to a canal river or bank, or to a field (detectorists) when in EOD, I could retire. Usually on a weekend or Bank Holiday.

Have you guys ever fished in London in the areas that we're hit by heavy bombing? I'm vert interested in devastation caused. I'd think there would be a lot of artifacts from that time.

10:12 looks like a homemade safety cage for the small fry, so they have a place to hide from the larger fish, and chance to grow up.
