I will trust in God. Even though it’s difficult, I will continue to walk with faith and not by sight. Please pray for me. My husband passed away years ago. I’m all alone. I’m a single mother. Both of my sons are autistic, they require a lot from me because they are non verbal. Every month is a struggle, to not end up on the streets. I lost my job as a social worker at Forsyth hospital because I declined the vaccine. I declined because of my pre existing health condition lupus, and heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption. I wish I could go back but the mandate is still in place for hospitals that participate in Medicare and Medicaid all employees must have covid 19 vaccine. I get harassed constantly and mocked for sharing my testimony and for asking for prayers but prayers are all I want and I also want to bring awareness of how vaccine mandates are ruining many ppls lives. I’m now waitressing and I’m so thankful but not making nearly enough to get by. I’m tired of struggling putting food on the table it’s so discouraging. But even as I’m put down and mocked because of my situation. I still have faith that our Heavenly Father will provide he has THIS FAR! Faith over fear. Please pray for me and my boys! God bless! 🥰

IE good communication skills, did you do any computer work or send emails etc. Comfortable working with cried clients etc etc, if you have hobbies list them, I know it's old school but I think it helped me as the interview t my current employment was after. People fit above knowledge base, so saying I do XYZ and I wrote why, IE challenge myself in different ways, just to show I wasn't just. Job, if I wasn't changing careers I never would have added it. Good luck nd my god bless you
I went to church today, the last Sabbath of the year, after skipping out for so long, dragging my faith like an ol' blankie; comforted by its presence but not using it to cleanse my mind of clutter, warm my heart towards others, and strengthen my spirit. I need to give more time to sit w/ Jesus like a dear and trusted old friend and read the Bible, study the scriptures and not treat Him like He's some kind of taskmaster or treat Bible study like it's another daily 'chore'. Lord Jesus, I pray you imbue me with the Holy Spirit to draw me closer to you and shut the increasingly chaotic and worthless garbage in life out, in Jesus' Holy Name I Pray this for myself and others struggling with the same mindset, Amen.

The universe is so large, I can't even comprehend it. I really REALLY hope god exists, because only his existence could bring meaning and matter. I just want to know...
@@hyperv1016 Yeah, I heard it put this way somewhere, and it's perfect. "If there's nothing but matter, then nothing matters." But things clearly do matter. If they just matter to ME, that's potentially bad for everyone else. By extension, if there aren't some core things that matter to everyone, if everyone just gets to decide it's whatever they want -- then everyone is his own God. It's pretty clear that's not good, either. So then you get to thinking about what IS good, and WHY is it good? And then you're on the path to discovering God. Looking into the infinite night sky is a really good place to start.
I can't wait for the next part. Exodus 21 - Laws about Slaves. In the first 20 chapters of exodus, it was pure fiction, with none of the events actually having occurred historically. However, this chapter was even used in the USA up until the civil war, to justify the morality of slave ownership. Get ready for some nonsense mental gymnastics from our panel.

As a young Christian I saw many miracles not the least of which was my own changed life. That was a long time ago and it seemed that those supernatural miracles have dried up in my old age, but I have found that watching my children and grandchildren grow up most of them growing in Christ, is the greatest miracles that exist.
Man, that's exactly how it feels. Drying up. I have experienced or witnessed multiple different paranormal eventsthat have had an effect on the physical world as I was observing it, or that have given me factual information about reality that I couldn't have had in my brain. Yet still I find myself going back to thinking material is all there is.
@@ReasonAboveEverything Don't be fooled though, a demon or whatever you want to call it would like you to think that the spirit world is not real. I get the same way, it's easy to think that what you experienced was just coincidence.
But coincidences can happen. Do you realize how gullible our human mind can be? How even a simple optical illusion can trick your brain? How can a person be so sure of what they see is real unless they can touch it or its explained by science? What we need to understand is human nature. What makes us believe what we believe. Is it fear of the unknown? I kind of hope for another purpose? Why is it that we turn to our feelings before any sort of logic and reason are put into play? There are times in all of our lives where we act foolishly because we are driven by in-the-moment emotion. Emotions cant always be trusted. We need to yearn for proof, reason..

This is probably what it would've been like if we could have listened to CS Lewis and his friends sitting around thinking and talking about deep things.
Never forget, Jesus Christ was the first instance of a human being as *an image of God* fully realized and functioning. The miracles He worked (and which His apostles and saints later replicated) are but a taste, the smallest crumb of what the Lord made us to do. Humans are meant to be living vessels of His essence, by which we can become His agents and instruments of His will. And by Christ's blood, we can have our sins wiped away, thereby making us suitable vessels once more and allowing us to fulfill our true cosmic purposes in God's grand design.
@@leonhughes9014 The financial slavery that the Jewish people practiced is better than the financial slavery that we currently have in the US. If you owed a debt you could find a rich person to pay off your debt and you sold yourself into slavery during a 7 year period. If only 6, 5, 3, or 1 years were left in this cycle you were set Free. My faith in God makes God real. Without faith I wouldn't strive to live a life aligned with God's wishes. Life is worth so much more when you are trying to live by faith to attain a holy existence towards a communion with God.
Mr Peterson is a blessing to all who will listen and take his messages to heart. Thank you sir, you've done more in the lives of your followers (is that a proper word for us?) I appreciate your journey and that you want to help so many live better more fulfilling lives.
A philosophy doctor of doctors, these types of round table discussions would be held among scholars and others behind closed doors for thousands of years, it's rare to get a glimpse inside. Back in the day, many were not taught how to read. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil is both a blessing and a cursing that can be weaponized. The art and science of pursuing the depths of understanding the universe is both very dangerous but also potential in giving people choices, meaning, freedom, opportunities, insight.
Mr Peterson you are a great teacher. Many people will hear you but we need to spread not just the messages you speak but we must also learn and speak as you do. It's like Jesus and the parables about the seeds. We need to sow a good harvest if we want change. You can't just sit on the sidelines. That's why Jesus said many are called but few are chosen.
Over the years, I've come to view faith as an exercise in trust, which of necessity requires room for reasonable doubt and the possibility that another party might fail or betray that trust. This makes sense when one considers the Christian theological perspective that God is a person (or rather, a unity of three distinct persons sharing the same fundamental essence), and that He wants to cultivate an amicable relationship with His creations. And as far more mundane, tangible relationships on this mortal plane teach us, earning that trust often takes a while (and lets face it, a certain degree of skepticism is healthy), and can easily be ruined by one or more parties making mistakes (in this case, through sin). It speaks to one's integrity and mercy that one can forgive breaches of trust, and remain committed to one through hard times. And Lord knows that isn't easy, especially for violent, stupid primates like us. I have put my trust in the Lord, and He has stood by me through good times and bad, even intervening on my behalf. Would that more people out there were fortunate enough to have their own reasons to believe and trust in He who is *"I AM."*
Everything in the Word of God is there for a reason. Doubting Thomas because he had to see and feel the Lord's hands, feet and side. Jesus said that more blessed are those that believe by faith in God Inspired Word. We have the entire Holy Spirit Inspired Word of God. It's a Spiritual book. I will stop there
I want to thank you Mr Peterson for all the work you’re doing and everything you’ve done. Through the past few years you’ve helped me so much and helped me help others as well. Much love and happy new year Merci beaucoup

I'm on Romans just today and chapters 4, 5 and 6 so far is all about faith, Wow. So if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised again for our justification. THEREFORE being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by faith into his grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. So important to READ the bible yourself.
The other day, sky absolutely full of light and dark gray clouds, to me was representative of how I was feeling, in the middle, horizontally, I saw a rainbow! horizontal placed rainbow separating the gray in a perfect two halves. I was just telling my brother the other month that we are creatures of faith. Every new moment is unknown. Yet we make decisions and aim toward goals regardless of how mundane they seem. Give him time. Given his academic background, such open-mindedness is natural, and consequently his personal journey will be a complicated one. And based on experience, I highly doubt the Lord would knock earnest seekers of truth, even if they make mistakes along the way. Christ is the Key and the Gate either way, and given what He went through for us, I suspect He is willing to understand and forgive quite a bit of ignorance/mistaken belief (we are all fundamentally ignorant about a great many things, after all). The fact Dr. Peterson is on this leg of his journey at all is a good thing, for him and his listeners. The journey is enobling in and of itself, and this process cannot be rushed. Let it happen.
Emunah, faith, has as its root ‘emun’ which means craft. The message is that one literally hones and crafts ones faith, painstakingly, lovingly, carefully, consistently to create a stronger more durable and beautiful faith
One thing I just realized about faith is just how powerful it truly is. It is fine to have doubts at first, but to truly exercise faith properly you have to remove doubt completely. You have to believe that what you are praying for has already come to past. You shouldn’t do in the mindset of hoping it will happen, but believing it already happened. I’ll be the first to tell that it is not an easy thing to do. But the thing about faith is that it grows through experience. Because if you excersise your faith properly God will reveal Himself to you, and He will keep doing it again, and again, and again. He was been the same in the past, in the present, and will continue to be consistent in the future. It truly amazes me just how much authority we have but a lot of people don’t even know it. God bless.
Happy new Year Petersen Family. One thing I have noticed during of my time listening to people recount their Near Death Experiences. In many cases these experiences and the faith it affords them transcends decades and the memories of the event can be recounted just as if it had happened yesterday and not 1972 for example. I watch there faces light up and tears fill their eyes as they remember the out pouring of love from a non human source. Dr Sam Parnia has made great strides in his endeavour's to prove that consciousness transcends physical death.
Mike Evans, books or real people that you know? I felt like I had a near death experience when I was going through Xanax withdrawal years ago. It was very dark. I had a grand mal seizure a week later. I had not slept from sleep deprivation for months. My body was on overdrive and my blood pressure was high enough to have a stroke. It felt like I passed out and my consciousness was jolted out of my body. I was in purgatory with other souls and every thought was heard (I'm not Catholic). Then, I had my judgment. I saw my whole life flash pass me. I was judged for my depression and holding grudges against certain people. I was told that it wasn't good enough, and it felt like I dropped into a pure black void with only my consciousness which was still completely aware. I just kept praying. I was jolted back into my body. I was in my office late at night when this happened. My best friend was sleeping in the guest bedroom at the time because I couldn't really care for myself. I woke him up. He can recount that night as well. I was a complete wreck. I remember that night vividly as well.
@@jtjones4081 Good point, but also wallowing in self pity isn't going to help either. I believe that if God truly wanted to punish John for his depression he wouldn't have had this experience. It's come from a place of fatherly love and I hope that's how John saw it too.
Mathew B, I think it was a wake up call on forgiving others. Alot of the depression was brought on by an extremely stressful situation that I was going through at the time and the xanax just exasperated it. Also, my take away from that evening is that consciousness transcends this life. Also, that our thoughts have power. It taught me to be more thankful.

In my experience, making sense of it requires becoming a historian and getting a feel for how people in the ancient Near East and Mediterranean _thought._ Once you get a basic understanding for the ancient zeitgeist, social conventions, and idioms (and realize just how much Judaism consistently _went against_ the cultural grain), everything starts to make a lot more sense real quick (there's also a surprising among of really clever satire in the Bible, e.g. the two creation myths of Genesis were actually _parodies_ two Mesopotamian creation myths popular in Babylon, who had conquered Israel and was holding many Israelites captive at the time Genesis seems to have been compiled, ~600 B.C.). It's borderline criminal how little these issues are discussed in Western churches, and this lack of historical/cultural depth has consistently led to misunderstandings of scripture (e.g. Biblical literalism), heresies (e.g. creationism), and apostasy (which is completely understandable when a particular church interprets scripture poorly). I wish I was their shadows so I can follow them every where. The amount of knowledge u will be exposed to in a short period is beyond comprehension. There is an instantaneous halt u experience in ur consciousness where u discard all ur five senses and only think about the chunk of information u received to only digest it. By listening to them, this halt transforms into an elongated mode of being where the video finishes and u still didn't not grasped all aspects of the information 😂. I love that. God bless you all.
I'm an atheist but was raised a Christian. I still appreciate some of the stories within the Bible and the lessons, Jordan's perspective is enjoyable to listen to because of the psychological and scientific element that he brings to the conversation. I would love to hear his opinions on the Gnostic texts.
I had my personal proof in 2001, and whatever happened since, I’ve never doubted. And there’s been a lot of ups and downs, and I often struggle to understand the purpose or lesson I’m supposed to learn from it. But doubt never entered into the equation again after that.

God bless! 🥰
May God continue to walk and shine and carry you along in his grace.God bless you.
May our Lord Jesus Christ give you the strength to endure this salvific work that you're doing. He is not distant from your suffering but in fact with you throughout this journey. May his Grace and love overshadow you until you see Him face to face.

Thank you for this prayer. It applies to me as well.

@@hyperv1016 Yeah, I heard it put this way somewhere, and it's perfect.
"If there's nothing but matter, then nothing matters."
But things clearly do matter. I can't wait for the next part. Exodus 21 - Laws about Slaves.
In the first 20 chapters of exodus, it was pure fiction, with none of the events actually having occurred historically.
However, this chapter was even used in the USA up until the civil war, to justify the morality of slave ownership.

Faith is not the belief that God will do what you want. It is the belief that God will do what is right.
Max Lucado,
God will do as God does. I am in his hands.
Then he said to them, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.’”
“You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder,[a] and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ 22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister[b][c] will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’[d] is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.
Seems like a contradiction there so both can’t be right. Aka at least one has to be wrong.
That makes sense.

And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall [a]direct your paths," Proverbs 3:5-6

Jordan is such a wonderful influence. I could listen to him speak on any topic.
Amen
Not real
Everything in the Word of God is there for a reason. Doubting Thomas because he had to see and feel the Lord's hands, feet and side. Jesus said that more blessed are those that believe by faith in God Inspired Word. We have the entire Holy Spirit Inspired Word of God. It's a Spiritual book. I will stop there
Is there something I can’t believe based on faith? Can I have faith you’re wrong? And if so how would we find which of us is closer to what is true?
If the Bible is correct, should we be classified as primates?
Seeing the intellects speak on the subject sounds beautiful.
I want to thank you Mr Peterson for all the work you’re doing and everything you’ve done. Through the past few years you’ve helped me so much and helped me help others as well. Much love and happy new year Merci beaucoup

Give him time. Given his academic background, such open-mindedness is natural, and consequently his personal journey will be a complicated one. I am LOVING these sessions,..PLEASE keep making them,.... so life changing!
God bless.
All will gain in accordance with their faith
My Good God please protect this man who is leading the lost to see you
Happy new Year Petersen Family. One thing I have noticed during of my time listening to people recount their Near Death Experiences. In many cases these experiences and the faith it affords them transcends decades and the memories of the event can be recounted just as if it had happened yesterday and not 1972 for example.

@@Lepocolocosorry to hear. Stories are life, and those stories will define your life. You can’t decipher the meaning of life with reason. Faith in something is required to discover the truth.

Amen.
Dr. Peterson has missed a few key points over the years in his Biblical analysis, but he has done wonders pointing out/reminding people how cerebral and deep the Bible truly is.
I'd never before found content So rich as this which also includes all the comments and testimonies
God bless you, professor. Thanks for everything you did for us in this 2022.
John 20:29
“Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”
Happy new year to Jordan Peterson and everyone on here
I've never been into politics or know about you now I can't stop watching your channel God bless you and your family 🙏
I hope to be blessed with a man with a mind and heart like yours.
Faith serves a purpose to those searching for deeper meaning to life. It helps people deal with the unknown or impossible questions. Not all people need this, science is another great way of dealing with these questions. Ultimately the deeper you go into the unknown the closer you come to faith because there will always be unanswered questions. 🤔
Its amazing that Peterson has faith in our Lord Jesus now
No he never did... He uses it like a snake and you guys trust him more then Jesus or God...
Hi Jordan, for the coming year, may God bless you and hold you in his Hands, may the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour protect, lead and grant you wisdom through the immense power which we cannot comprehend of the Holy Spirit.
We can build up our faith in life upon several different foundations. There is only one guaranteed foundation for us to build on, that can never crumble and wash away.
Doubt is a frustrating and scary feeling. As well, it is easy to forget about what Fear is and where it comes from. Scary, would be ignoring all of it and thinking you can handle everything on your own.
Well so far all I've got is myself, and I'm not waiting around for anything else.
@@quentins8165 Well “anything else” is definitely waiting around for You, much closer than you might realize. The knowledge must be developed through study and practice in order to achieve a proper understanding.
Off topic but I just have to mention how much I love Jordan's suit in this episode.
I’m an Atheist raised Catholic. Been an Atheist since 20 and I’m 43. I don’t harbor any kind of Ill will towards those who believe in whatever. I’d never disabuse someone of their American right to exercise their religious traditions. And I can appreciate what belief and faith do for people. We all can’t be right, but we all can be wrong. I really admire Jordan; he’s insightful and eloquent in his thoughts.
Christ is waiting for you with love, come home.
Check out Cold Case Christianity
I heard God say my name and touch me in my sleep and it was so profound it feels like yesterday every day for many months now. Ill never forget it as long as I live.
Funny. An old girlfriend of mine once met the Buddha in her sleep and considered it more than a dream too. Can both of you be right?
@@DocnoXXX buddha was a man who died forever ago. so I would assume she was visited by a demon in disguise. Gods touch ripped me violently out of my sleep I found myself standing on my bed wide eyed. I have since repeatedly prayed for a repeat of that powerful but fleeting moment.
@@novamouy17 Except my Thai friend believes that Buddha still exists in a transcendental realm whence he provides guidance to humans to help them in their spiritual journey. Her evidence is as valid (or not) as yours. She would probably say you were visited by a demon from a lower reality too who was trying to distract you from the path. As an atheist, I think you both simply had dreams
@@DocnoXXX Well this is interesting dialogue I am please to debate you. First I'd like to give you a wrap up of my testimony and the evidences why I believe my resolve is true. I'd love to here what evidences your friend has as I'm an avid researcher. also I want to hear your perspective of us both as an atheist cause I grew up with several atheist friends.
Ok. first I grew up from the age of 6 years old in extreme abuse and had several experiences including chronic and sever nightmares that made me badly insomniac. I can't describe this as anything less then demonic. This kind of life of mine stayed this way until I became an adult. I read through the bible and committed my life to Jesus. then the experiences completely stopped along with most of the nightmares and most of the sin in my life. and as I got more committed because it made my life soo much better then I ever imagined, I finally heard my name being called in the most loving manner that is not possible in this world. I felt a strong physical touch to my side and I ripped awake instantly.
I believe this was from God because his scriptures says his chosen are called by him. That moment has become an anchor in my faith.
Ok so my claim to this faith is also based on some simplified examples I will give you that through research you will find to be true.
1- the evidence of the flood is overwhelmingly all over the planet.
2- all of the characters in the bible have been proven to have lived including Jesus.
3- the cities and sites have tons of evidences showing that the events written in the bible actually happened.
4- many of the actual prophesies have come true.
5- Finally, The revelations book in particular is very relevant and at the least the one thing I would ask you to read and research before you shrug this off, because it affects our time now. The claims in it are coming true on a daily basis.
Please take your time and respond, I would love to listen to you. Thank you.

@@novamouy17 On vacation at the moment, so I can't answer everything. But let me say that I grew up surrounded by and believing in Christianity. Then, many years ago, I moved to SE Asia. There I became more directly exposed to other religions meaning that I formed friendships and relationships with people from very different backgrounds. Two of my closest male friends are Hindu and Sikh (respectively), I've had long term relationships with two Buddhist women, and my wife is Muslim. And the thing that I can tell you is that they all have the same confidence of faith as you do ... and many of the same experiences that they filter through their religious lenses too. But you can't all be right. And to me, as an atheist, there is no compelling evidence for any faith (though I will say that Buddhism is most consistent with findings in neuroscience and psychology ... and I find it to be the most elegant religion).
To respond to some of your other points...
My own life and the patterns that have emerged over the years and how God had never led me astray and the times throughout my life when I didn’t listen to Him were among the most regrettable, while the times I *did* follow His wise Guidance were among the most terrifying, yet most rewarding and awe inspiring.
So I don’t need anyone’s miracles. I’ve always felt Him in me and I could always feel the wrongness of not following His Loving and Wise Guidance and I could always feel the correctness in every last fibre of my being, in simply giving in, succumbing to Him and allowing Him to Lovingly Embrace me and Guide me toward what always felt most Ultimately Correct.
Happy new year doctor. Thank you for everything you do.
I would LOVE to see Jordan Peterson and John Eldredge talk to each other. Two giants!
Jordan, happy Hogmanay from Scotland. John 3:16
I cannot tell you the amount of times it took me to replay this in order to truly understand what it means. Such powerful wisdom in this and if you take the time to understand it you will be better for it. I am 26 and rediscovering my faith by putting it all into question. If you don't understand why you believe what you do, then you probably don't truly believe.
Beautifully put, gentlemen. Thanks!
I trust in God
Being there when this was recorded; even a fly on the wall... Oh man what great times we live in. Bless this group and those this reaches. Thank you all for your care to humanity, keeping us a little less hollow.

Douglas Hedley: Please do more. I'm sorry that this is forward. I saw you in the Exodas series with Jordan Peterson and others. You are very smart, and I and I'm sure, many others would want to also learn from you. Please do not let your wisdom die with you. In great respect, Katelyn.
If Cardinal Ratzinger was young and was in this Pannel. God Rest his Soul.🙏🏻🕊️
So is Dr Peterson a believer already? Happy New Year to you and family sir.
They're so right.
