    It revives good memories, thanks! I had the exact same bike 25 years ago. I am 55 now and I intend to be back to motorcycling soon, after too many years without a bike. Being pretty penniless (or eurocentless?), my first choice should be one these good old 3-cylinder, possibly a Sprint.

      To my mind a Sprint version is the best of all worlds. I have too a soft spot for an early Trophy, but any of these bikes with a well maintained Triple 885 engine ( or possibly 750 but can't really say due to lack of experience) has to be a winner, as long as the sprag clutch is accessible, especially so if you plan on keeping the bike for the longhaul

      That's right, I believe the mirrors are from the speed triple.

    matt, what do you think to good points and bad points are of the bike?

      good points.. super slick gearbox .. super supple suspension and that addictive 3 cylinder engine..plus great build quality. only real bad point is its top heavy when wheeling around in garages etc.

    How big is the bike? Is it small like a 600 hornet/fazer or like a big bike (xjr eg?)

    • @daytona1000sport
      @daytona1000sport  2 роки тому +1

      It's a big one alright and heavy, more like XJR, doesn't feel all that bad when you are riding it as you are sitting in the bike rather than on top of it. It is super comfortable to ride and the smoothest gearbox I've used on any motorcycle I've ridden.

      The bike is big. I bought it new in 1991 only because in every early german cycletest was written: To big, to long and to high for smal drivers. Because i am 191cm large, i surched for a really "big bike" and i found it. I bought it 1991 and was really satisfied for years, selled it in 1997 because of my children, my family. And now, 25 years later. i surched once more for an new big bike and found nothing better, bought it in used condition once more. Optical, technical, physical the best big bike for large drivers: Perfect sitting, everything fits. It fits like, in german we say: "Arsch auf Eimer", , in english "bud on the bucket", in that way, i think. When you are large and surch for the nicest, largest big bike: Prefere the first models from 1991 and 1992. Since 1993 they pulled the seat down from 820mm to 770mm because the most customers said: "To high". Yes, the Suzuki nakede bike GS 1100 G was big in the same way but it was ugly and unbelievable rusty, as i remember. And, by the way: Excuse me for ruining your language.
