Erich, thank you so very much for not only teaching me and many other students but teaching us how to better play barre chords and discover how musically- useful they are. I practice mostly acoustic guitar as I like the sound resonating from the body. My electric guitar, which I built from a kit, usually sets beside me gathering dust. Recently, because of both you and also my oldest son who plays electric guitar , my acoustic guitar only brick wall is starting to crumble as I realize the immense amount of potential in learning to play it. The barre chords are easier and the music draws others to listen. I am your constant guitarist follower. You by far are one of the best guitar instructors I have ever known. You are patient and you inspire us to move on instead of just being happy playing the same scales, etc. Thanks again. I greatly appreciate your step by step instruction and giving me a reason to practice everyday, whether it's 15 min. or 2 hours.
Yeah pretty much just think of an A chord so you are really only hitting the D &G strings and if you can hold it down perhaps the B string on the 'chord' stroke... almost a power chord.

STILL a Rockstar! I started watching your vids 4 years ago and I'm STILL amazed at how you make it look so easy! Well done brother.

Was your 3rd ring finger pressing down for those bar chords, I'm pretty sure but just checking so I learn it right. Thanks teach, for all you do.

Once upon a time, I would have been horrified at the idea of playing guitar in the key of B flat. But after doing some UGS, it's no big deal.
Love that, Stiv!
As John Lennon said, instead of calling it rock n roll, just call it Chuck Berry!
