This reminds me of when I used to play FireRed on my broken gameboy. It broke in half, didn't have a screen anymore. But i still played with the sound. I memorized the cries of all the pokemon. Since then, i still know all the cries, including newer pokemon cries as well.
This leaves so many questions: How did you brake it? Why not buy a new one? How did you know where you were in the game? How did you navigate/walk around? How did you learn new moves, manage items etc?

Not many people know that Rocko was inspired as a kid by Koga and his Pokemon. But after a few months as a gym leader he was utterly destroyed by a geodude and thus became a rock type gym leader.

I have since used that randomizer on Platinum, but it prevented trade evolutions from evolving... whether I checked change impossible evos or not... so my machop didn't evolve into machoke :(
