This girl does not understand Ferrari, did she do any research?
It's a business you idiot, they pay taxes, have employees, and have goals to grow just like every other business. She literally asked the same questions to other bigger companies relative to their trajectory
She just couldn't understand the different culture where price and production volume are not the priority.
Ferrari are made to be exclusive so lower production volumes are better. When too many people have a Ferrari then its not exclusive.
And the higher the price the better, because you can't have a cheap status symbol.
This is on Bloomberg after all, where all that matters is money.
@@Timo-qb1gf yes, and they need to perfectly know what are the gross margins of Ferrari and of BYD. Coz Ferrari earns A LOT more from the YoY produced cars than the tens of thousands BYD cars made.
Increasingly in the future, European companies mostly focus on luxurious sectors. The rest will be manufacturered by Asia, especially China.
@@oceanwave4502 true. But from an investing point of view i would choose Ferrari, steady growth, more easily to take money from rich ppl, heritage of the brand aka intangible asset etc etc. BYD would growth much larger in scale, but i would prefer my capital in Ferrari.
@@oceanwave4502 no the EU will protect it's manufacturing sector for cars. So many million Europeans are employed making cars, it's going to be protected.
Already we've seen a bit of a rise in tariffs.
Comparing a Ferrari to a Chinese BYD
is like comparing a Swiss watch with a $10 Rolex. LOL
Bro BYD is light years ahead of ferrari when it comes to electric vehicles. 😂
Aside from its affordablity, Byd is definitely better and more practical. Pointless to make something if it's out of reach of 90% of the market.

not your best commentary Mr.Chang
News reader: What? Making money isn't as important as making a quality product?
ferrari's are notorious for build quality though
3.23: Hilarious how he mocked the interviewer's gesture when she asked about price range!
1:17 Does he mean that we will be able to choose a future Ferrari model, e.g. Portofino and then choose electric, hybrid or ICE version? That would be epic.
Basically: Our clients are very wealthy. We do not discuss their world with your need (which add no value) to forecast what we will do.
They're making them as certain clients whims about an EV Ferrari. He's making it very clear. Probably for part of their collection of cars. If it doesn't work, it's not like left without transportation.
The stupid questions... I just can't... "how many cars...?"
Enzo Ferrari once said :
The horses pull the carriage not push them…
And now how he would say about an EV Ferrari!?
Maybe he would eventually open minded, just as he finally adopted the mid-engined layout
Ten years ago, Ferrari said they would never build an EV.
And 5 years ago that they'd never EVER build an SUV. Yet here we are. 😀
Ten years ago, Benedetto Vigna wasn't the CEO of Ferrari.
They never wanted to built an EV but they are forced into building it due to legislations by politicians.
bahahhahah NEVER SAY NEVER - JUSTIN BIEBER
But the law changed so they had to change. Petrol cars are banned/phased out in the 2030's.
Ferrari is Going Electric ⚡️ Good News! 🗞️
3:45 Ferrari makes hybrids for increased performance - not for the other reasons
Tech from Formula 1
Technology from Formula 1
So why now? they could avoid making hybrids and electrics for the next decade so why now? Pagani don't have any hybrids or EVs
A truly sustainable factory!
Good for them for getting on board. Eventually...
I can't become your client until you provide electric cars. Oh and also I'll need you to discount your vehicles 95% too. Thanks in advance.
+1 that request
Your advice really worked! I got a score of 9 out of 11 and I'm thrilled. It's been a while since I've seen such good results. Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge!
Price probably €2.000.000 territory
I wonder if this Ferrari will be more reliable. Enough that we could actually drive it daily instead of being a garage queen.
It will be different to not hear the famous super car roar
Who is the reporter? She’s a cutie 🥰
Yeah, all of the EV Rolls Royce, Bentley, Lamborghini, Maserati, limousines and yachts. Where are they ALL, only Ferrari, and Mercedes, which is still considered middle class cars.
Quality over quantity 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Yet they make more cars now than ever before
While I don't see myself ever buying a Ferrari, if I did it would have to be fully electric. Electric sports cars are a natural fit. Imagine the speed...
🚗🔋 Wow, Ferrari's new EV factory in Italy is a game-changer! 🌱⚡ It's amazing to see such an iconic brand making strides in electric vehicle technology. Can't wait to see what they come up with next! 🏎✨
most people dont get it. its way more complex how it works.
try to simplify this:
on average: 1 ferrari = 4 byd
what company earns more and can innovate more with their earnings?
if ferrari insist of doing things manually maintaing expensive labor like the past decades, they will never ever be able to build a high tech ev engine with the precision future tech needs.
im saying it again, most people dont get it. look at how byd is stamping out their cars vs ferrari. if it performs the same or even better quality.
ferrari needs to enovate or else will become a noname brand in future.
Can anyone remember leading brands?
Cunard Line - 1840
Pullman Company - 1867
American Express Company - 1850
Adams Express Company - 1840
Baltimore and Ohio Railroad (B&O) - 1827
Great Western Railway - 1833
most will not.
1 Pagani = 4 Ferraris that doesn't mean they shouldn't be treated like any other business
@@earthtoimani if old brands can't keep up with evolving technologies, soon they wont be in the market anymore. sadly. i think there should be as many companies as possibles building high tech stuff. it should help evolve whatever we have.
@@jjdorig9712 "high tech" these days basically means things powered by electricity, technology also applies to other things too in relation to the three sciences of what technology means. Merc invented the car and are still around so no one should be that much worried about the prancing horse
If you ask for the price you can't afford it
U buy a ferrari when u want to be somebody u buy a lambo when u are somebody
It's the way around and completely the opposite but doesn't matter 😂😂😂
its the opposite
Lamborghini unfortunately because the wannabe rich cars, every fake guru always shows off a lambo not a Ferrari😂
Porsche needs to step up with the 911.
they have Taycan, thats plenty
You're dreaming
Ferrari, Ferrari !
Its all about legislations as mentioned by another subscriber here ... these car companies have no choice but to comply and market electric cars as cool unfortunately ...
Electric cars are cool, because having clean air you can breath is cool, having clean air that didn't give you medical conditions is cool.
Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better. The internal combustion engine along with fossil fuels are a technological, environmental, and political dead-end.
Globally 1 in 4 cars sold are EVs. The EVs are fun to drive with high torque through most of its RPM band without the noise and vibrations that would come with high performance ICE.
If even China thinks it is the future , it means it is the future, like it or not, although we need some regulations to insure that doesn’t happen to car’s what happens to phones and unifying charging network.
It creates a new industry, new tech advances and if done right it will reduce emissions besides manufacturing
What a poor quality journalism, Bloomberg editors on lunch break?

Ferrari's price is going up; Ferrari EV will suffer.
Sorry Ferrari - don't want an EV version of your cars - donate them to charity...
With that many numbers after your name you definitely couldn’t afford one anyways.
Do you even have the many for one, I doubt it, also you should be happy your ice Ferrari will increase in price😂
this was srsly so frustrating and painful too watch. Either Bloomberg has no idea about how ferrari functions and the market is sells too. pressing on the same question differently twice is just irritating at one point

Useless factory 😅
"Useless" ? Fat chance Vance. How do you explain that Ferrari sells every car they make ? No unwanted inventory buildups at Maranello or any of Ferrari's 180 dealers worldwide, quite the opposite. The new factory, as Vigna clearly stated, consolidates vehicle assembly of all models in one building. If you want to jealously hate Ferrari, that's fine. But you don't have to lie about how they run their business.
