An intentional benefit of COVID was for us to learn new hobbies during lockdown, mine was learning to write again in a new style from scratch which I decided Spencerian is classic and artful. That led me into fountain pens and I am unintentionally hooked, I now have 4 fountain pens and am always excited to see your reviews what’s new albeit not the high end prices. So I toiled what to get to display and store my pens and bought this case you reviewed from Galen. I can take the tray out and use it as a display case and use it to store my pens in the case also. I like that the partitions will stop the pens contacting each other and the high quality case is gorgeous. Thanks for the review(s), you are top notch!
Thank you, David. This was a very timely review for me personally. I think the 12 pen case quite reasonable for what one gets: high quality materials, good workmanship, and style which would meet my tastes. My personal bias is that in the long run, there is no substitute for quality.
Everything Galen Leather makes is of such great quality! Looking forward to your review of the XL Medic Bag… I’ve had mine for a few months (in crazy horse green) and absolutely love it!
Agreed. I own a 6 pen zippered case (in tan, and enjoy it as well), and it is much, much less money. I wonder why? www.galenleather.com/collections/zippered-pen-pencil-cases/products/leather-zippered-6-slots-pen-case-crazy-horse-brown
I love Galen Leather products, but I wish this had some additional closure so that if it was dropped the flap wouldn't open. I'm not sure how strong those magnets are. I currently have a 12 pen Visconti case for storage, but I use a Galen three pen pouch for daily use although it is a bit narrow for certain pens even after using the included pen stretcher.
Hey David, have a query, i bought a pen from Ranga pens. It's huge (7 inch). I'm unable to find any sleve for it. Any recommendations? I'm not looking for too premium brand. If i find none, I'm tempted to take raw leather and make one by myself..
Oh my, at times I feel as if I am a bit of a fraud watching these videos because I never plan on buying 90 % of the things you review or show on your channel I simply don’t have the money to be some kind of extraordinary pen collector. I started looking at 10 videos to decide on buying a fountain pen that would help me with my artwork. And for right around $35 I have. Of course since buying my first one I have found three or four others that I enjoy writing with and using in my artwork. Oh and the triple tail from Noodler’s at $55 is the most I will ever spend on a Pen! In fact I still shake my head at times thinking I overspent on that pen! I certainly don’t begrudge you your hobby and I have enjoyed watching your videos, I just have a difficult time with how much it costs. Maybe I am jealous? Could be. Please take care and be safe. Have a nice day.
David question please. Would the Leonardo furore grande fit in this case by chance. I believe you have this pen as I watched your review on it and bought it a day later. I’m having an issue finding a case for the pen and I’m thinking it would be a tight fit in this case.

Very, very close. #11 is actually a M805. It is very hard to tell those apart from the view I provided. Great job on the rest, though!

Thanks David for your review. I have one of the 6 Pen cases in Crazy Horse Brown and really enjoy it.

Beautiful pen case. May I ask how many pens you currently have in your collection?
That Crazy Horse leather is beautiful. Having a nice leather satchel to put that case in would be really nice.

Hi David, great review!! I am always amazed by both the quality and the design of Galen products. I am waiting for my Magnum Opus to arrive :)
I think you'll enjoy it!
@@FigbootonPens I received mine today. I looooooove it very much!!! :)
We did rubbish. Only7/12. But super fun, more of these competitions please! Love your friends in South West China!
How strong are the magnets? Are you confident the case won't flop open with a little shaking and drop all your pens on the floor?
Dave, do you know if Galen has added a bit of extra size to their wooden boxes you reviewed??

You might want something like a Zoia sleeve that folds over from the top. I have one which fits a Namiki Emperor.
@@FigbootonPens I'd be interested in a Figboot review of a Ranga product.

Yes. It fits in here nicely.
Not one. But these are great looking cases. Do you actually care these type cases? Thanks David.
It is a beautiful design. I wish there were a PU leather option.
Are you watching Line of Duty?? Noticed the "H" in the background??
Beautiful!
Wow
Apocalypse cow. The blue one is problematic in there .
