    Honestly, this is the best training channel I've come across. Thanks again from Australia.

    Thank you for the information on words to use "close" and for keeping treats in line with the pant seam. I may hold my treat out too far. It's a great tip to get the dog to overturn then they always have plenty of margin for error.
    I taught my dog to pivot using a box under her front feet. She learned the whole thing within a week. Do you keep the food in your mouth to maintain eye contact?

    Thanks! Yours are the clearest videos on Schutzhund I've seen on UA-cam. I live in a country where there is no Schutzhund school, so I'm totally reliant on the internet. My dog (14 months giant schnauzer) is doing really well, but he's getting older. I'd really appreciate an overview of each level and what's required within so that I can see what best to teach him next. He's going great on obedience, biting and releasing and loves to be sent over 7ft junps. It's all good fun, but I don't know if I'll ever be able to compete with him because I just don't know what is involved. It's a big ask, I know, just putting my perspective out there. Thanks again for the great videos 👍

      Go back to drive pushing into the target hand. Then make sure your mark drive and the right footwork in order to get the food.

    • @SchutzhundKevin
      @SchutzhundKevin  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, you can lure with the ball, or use the leash pressure for guidance then mark and release to the ball when they move.

    Prong collars are illegal where I live. Is there anything i should be wary about when using a chain collar instead?

    • @SchutzhundKevin
      @SchutzhundKevin  2 роки тому +1

      not really.. just mark and reward giving into the leash pressure. You can use a flat collar, fursaver, or a martingale collar.
