Evie is stunning and she reminds me so much of Meg’s DD!! Your test was lovely and I really really am obsessed with Isla (sorry if that’s spelt wrong!) - she’s such a lovely little mare!
Well done Han 🙂 super sweet test, especially on a less familiar horse. From when I've ridden that test before, I've always understood the last 20m circle in trot at A to be a stretch down (more like a free walk, so free trot) rather than a give and retake. I find them so different to the BE tests. And super advice and support 😀.
Haha yes you’re right! Because I didn’t run through the test, I just didn’t read it properly. So read it as ‘give and retake’ not ‘letting the horse stretch’. Whoops!!!! X
Han. So sorry Affie wasn't available (?) Affie couldn't have a better human Mum than you. You have looked after her sooooo well. Affie, your human Mum is wonderful. So sorry you have many health issues. You could never have had a better Mum. Hope your health issues can be resolved very soon. Hope I've said this right. Wishing you all well.
Don’t be so hard on yourself Han! Haven’t ridden her in a month or schooled, first time showing her and you did great. You should spend more time speaking about the positives rather than spending so much time on the negative. You’d be surprised how you can change your own outcome in many aspects just by not speaking it into the universe ❤
O Hannah u did brilliantly. I'm so sorry u didn't get any positive comments as that's sucky. Don't be hard on yrself as like u said u haven't ridden this horse in so long, not practiced the test on her either. It's always hard when plans change but when u do it again on Isla u can prepare and get used to her. She's a different more experienced mare than Affie who yr used too. Don't take the comments to heart please. U looked amazing in yr test and tried yr best. I'm looking forward to seeing u out there again. Alice is just adorable and so supportive too and she matters more than the judges and is happy for u riding her. U had a fun day and the sun was out so it's a win 😊. It's great seeing u riding especially after all the things with Affie going wrong. Yr an amazing person and we all love u and cheer u on. This year hopefully will be a better one ❤😊
I have a very very sensitive Arab x and we do so much schooling and hard work between competitions but in the environment of a competition, she and I both are overwhelmed by the pressure and freeze, and even though we do a test that I think is such good progress, the scores never reflect it! It is very frustrating 😂
this is entirely random but have you considered to teach dressage lessons to children because i hear that does help some with mental blocks or mental congestion in the way when competing in dressage rings and i hear some get pretty good results in the long run. it wouldn't hurt even if you just volunteer the lessons and keep it stress free. because lets face it you already know how and are good at it , you just need fine tuning is all.
Han , I addmeryou for all you do with affie . Han I also addmeryou for all you do with your friends . Just injoy the day, it makes a change to have some Sun .Take care and all the best. 😊😊👍👍💟💟
Personally what I'd do is try to not ride her in the arena for a little while, like going hacking or riding in a lunge arena, and then slowly introducing her back to the arena by walking with her on foot in a halter, leading her around it and giving her treats every few strides to create a positive association with the arena. I'd then walk her into the arena on the ground with more treats to yet again associate the inside of the arena with something positive. Depending on how she is on the lunge, I'd then lunge her in the arena and get her trotting and cantering in there without you on her, and then later just walking in the arena while you're riding her 😊
I can buy Wild in Australia 🌏🦘. Fingers crossed 🤞 that Affie feels better soon. You have great friends. Edited to add that I used your code and subscribed to Wild.
What a lovely, balanced mare. Nicely ridden, Hanna.
Wow ❤result 1st she's a massive credit to you

@@Nohorsehan yes! It’s such a testament to the owner’s time put in when they go so well for other people!

Really lovely day out - and you had fun which is the main thing! Great commentary by Alice too! All the best from Australia :)
Hi, What breed is the grey horse, and the pony, you have good position well done!
I had a mare who squealed before each buck, and only when happy. I've always wondered if other horses do that, never seen except with her.
❤

Hiii
I was wondering if u have any advise for a green mare as mine hates the arena and refuses to go forward when being ridden 🐴
Personally what I'd do is try to not ride her in the arena for a little while, like going hacking or riding in a lunge arena, and then slowly introducing her back to the arena by walking with her on foot in a halter, leading her around it and giving her treats every few strides to create a positive association with the arena.
