I’m from Canary Islands (Taknara). I was born in Gran Canaria (Tamaran), but my family is from Fuerteventura (Yerban) and Lanzarote (Titerogakat). My name is Airam (it can be written as Airan or Ayram too) and it was the name of an amazigh man from La Palma (Benahuare). Airam is a Spanish transcription of what Castillan people believed to heard from the “Berber”. Do you think Airam comes from Nayram? Do you got an idea?

Remember changing a letter in word can change the whole meaning of it , and some words are stolen from other words but means two totally different things. In this case im not 100% sure but i do dare to say that your name really sounds like (Ayur) and it means (Moon) in Tamazight. It also sounds like Nayram. It is possible that Airam can come from Nayram. But i have to dig in deeper to found out , I'll come back to with an answer. Thank for the question

Also is very used today in the islands the name of "Nayra" for female people. When it is known by the Castilian chroniclers that a brave male warrior from the kingdom of Telde in the island of Canaria= Kanar-a (The land of the brave) had this name. It´s because the names in spanish which end in "A" almost always are femenine.

Because they' the goverment know but dont care about and ignore Amazigs...They want Arabic names, but in my opinion they must let both names to be recognized That would be fair. Im not asking bring all names from all over the world , only Amazigh, keep arabic names but don't ignore ethnic names for this country.

I know we have in a lot of Tunisian Amazigh names we never know existed. It's all writed/carved on walls in Matmata and Tataoine and other places. This really strong proof of Tunisian Amazigh names.

    • @TuNiSiA-TaMaZiGhT
      @TuNiSiA-TaMaZiGhT  4 роки тому +3

The story behind this language is that it is the mother tongue of North Africa
(Tunisia Algeria Morocco Canary islands Libya Mauritania, Northern Mali , Norhern Niger and Siwa)
The Alphabets is called Tifinagh and the language is Tamazight, which means free women , and Amazigh means free men

You are welcome brother , you are Arabized Amazigh. You need to come back to your roots and demolish the arabization, despite what you parents have told you! 1 year ago you wrote the comment. You are now 11 right ? 🙂🙂
What did you learn from this channel ?
Let me give you some basic information that benefits both of us and others reading this comment.
Did you learn that 33% of the Tunisian Darija uses Amazigh words in it? And that it has same style In pronunciation when talking in terms of vocabularies, connecting the words like we do Tamazight language , like for example, instead of: "7alib" .. "7lib" insted of "Harrissa" "Hrissa" , you don't say "Shakoun" You say "Shkoun" or "Bzerba" all this pronounced connecting words comes from Mazigh language , not only that. Also in Tunisian Darija many words ends with "Sh" , like for example, "3lesh" "Kifesh" "Wa9tesh" "Mathamesh" "Manajemsh" "Man7bsh" "Mana3refsh" the sh word is very common inn Tamazight language, So our Darija is heavily influenced by Tamazight language without people even know it.
