    Thank you. I just ordered one ( USA ) Cyber Monday, smoking deal. Celeron/610 Graphics, 1 stick 8 G memory, 1T 7200 RPM HD, AC dual band wireless w/bluetooth , 1 HDMI, 2 DP, stand, wireless keyboard and mouse with Windows 10 home. $342 USD +Tax. Going to replace my big Dell tower HTPC. Happy to see from your video how easy it will be to upgrade in the future. Thanks again :-)

      i don't think choosing a Celeron processor is a good idea..
      Should at least go for Pentium or i3..

    • @hussellusa
      @hussellusa 3 роки тому

      @@faisalfirdausiinn4708 You are correct the Pentium or i3 option would be better but it is too late I already got the machine. When I ordered it stepping up to the Pentium added nearly $100USD making it closer to $500 ( didn't want to spend that much ) and for that much Lenovo was offering some great deals on M90, M75, Mini 5, etc. I am only going to use it for Plex, UA-cam, Movies, Kodi and attach a couple external HDs for the network. It should handle that. I already got an 8G stick of ram making 16G that will help too. After watching this video upgrading the CPU down the road looks easy. :-)

      @@hussellusa
      Adding $100 for Pentium and loosing the Celeron is definitely 'expensive'.
      You better off buying the processor later on since it is quite easy to upgrade if you found out Celeron can't handle tasks you are planning to.

    Good video my friend.
    These HP Proddesk G5 Mini now come through as cheap ex-lease computers for about 150 Euros in my country. I agree, they are very nice and quiet.
    Many people will need Display Port to HDMI cables or adapters.
    The Crucial website is great to find compatible SSD's and RAM. Enter the computer brand and model, then you can look up compatible drives and RAM. For some RAM upgrades you have to upgrade the BIOS first, so make sure you do that before you plug the new RAM in.
    No, it's not difficult to replace a CPU. In the old days when CPU's had pins, that was tricky.
    About "be very, very careful". Yes, of course be careful, but instead of repeating this warning 10 times, say what that means, be very careful. It's important to put in the CPU in the right orientation, ie line up the one marked corner of the CPU and socket. And make sure the CPU is seated properly before closing it.
    And yes, you always replace the thermal past. But no, you don't clean the heatsink with air, you use tissue or a micro-fibre cloth. Usually no alcohol required, the past should come of dry.
    HP has great service manuals to download, they explain well how to upgrade anything.

    Thank you for posting this, and you English was great! Did you ever remove the expansion card (in your video it is the VGA video port) to install a different module? I am trying to get it removed so I can install a 9-pin serial card but for some reason it feels like I'm missing a screw or catch somewhere.

    great breakdown of this pc! I wish I'd watched this sooner as I accidentally pulled out the data/sata cable without lifting and I think I broke it. mine hsd a blue plastic cover over the cable for pulling up, is it broken without that? I hope it can still work as I may be putting cable back in wrong. BTW your English is great 👍

    Hallo! Danke für das Video. Ein schöner Überblick. Etwa bei 2:48 löst du die rechte Schraube vom SSD Case. Unmittelbar vor der Schraube direkt an der Vorderseite ist ein kleiner Schwarzer "Gummikasten" darin befindet sich eine Art Diode. Ist es richtig das es sich dabei um ein Infrarotempfänger handelt? Man kann die Diode abziehen (kleiner weißer Stecker) Auf dem Board steht USB C und auch TERM sowie SW123 und J210. Außerdem finde ich daneben einen kleinen Taster. Wofür könnte der sein...? (evtl. ein OpenCase-melder?)
