Hey Kurt, is there a certain year or types of glues where soaking doesn't work or is this universal for all glues? My apologies if you mentioned this in the video.
@@traydragen it’s a great question. I find that the glue on these vintage cards are usually rubber cement or I’m assuming Elmers glue. These are easy to remove with spray. I have run into a few cards that look like they were glued to cardboard with some sort of hot glue gun or super glue and I was not successful.
@@skipthebase no, but thanks for asking . As you’re learning all this stuff takes time sometimes several days. I can help you get a game plan together of how to do it successfully on a base card. If you have a 57 we can replicate the damage and I can coach you through it.

How do you get the mats to stay flat after you cut them off the roll?
@@TJThrasher I use a little bit of heat from a hairdryer on them and they will lay flat.

What is your view on PSA testing cards for your polish?
@@trenchant2 I’ve never had a problem getting the card graded ever. Neither do my customers. It’s not an issue.
Kurt- Do you ever repair other people’s card? I have a 57 Mantle with a wrinkle but I don’t trust my own skills yet.
