C Shock Camera Sound Test 1080p

In this video i recorded the XBOX 360 intro to Duke Nukem Forever, to test the sound quality of the C Shock HD 1080p video camera. I did intend to use this camera to record us at band rehersal sessions but the audio quality is very poor!!!!! The audio comes out very tinny (way to much trebble) and it cannot handle bass frequencies very well. All in all this is a HD 1080p Waterproof video camera/16Mp digital camera for under $200AU so you can't expect it to perform as well as an $800 camera!!!

most waterproof cameras tend to have crummy sound whether it be the mic itself or it being covered up. my gopro for example could only pick up louder sounds.

@XxbuttonboyzxX Umm, well the shutter speed seems ok for fast moving stuff. Have a look at my 1080p test footage as i filmed some of the cars going past in front of my house. For a budget camera i'd say it would be ok. The actual footage the camera takes is good quality but the sound is shocking as you can tell from this clip. I wish more people would post up their clips because i would also like to know if i got a lemon or if the whole lot of them sound this way. Cheers.

@gdrahcir Ok thanks for your feedback! And one more thing, would you recomend this for fast pased stuff, such as aggresive inline skating? For a low budget/ good quality. (can't really spend any more)

@MrkAirsoftFps HI mate. There is no real software that comes specific or any drivers for that matter with this camera. It saves it's movies in a 264 HD AVI format. So i guess so long as your MAC or PC for that matter can play and edit 264 compressed HD AVI's you should be sweet. I got VLC player on my PC and Ulead Photo Shop as well as Microsoft Movie Maker, but i cant play back the AVI's or edit them until i get some HD 264 codecs. There are standard AVI and now-a-days there are HD AVI's.
