Throat cancer survivor remained positive throughout his treatment

- Damion Smith is known for his deep, resonant voice. So when he lost is voice in June 2016, he decided to visit his doctor and he was diagnosed with laryngitis. But the medications didn’t work, and his voice was getting worse, so he went to an ear, nose and throat specialist (ENT). He found a growth on Damion's left vocal cord and took a biopsy. The biopsy revealed cancer and Damion was referred to MD Anderson where he was diagnosed with throat cancer - specifically, primary squamous cell carcinoma of glottis.
After seven chemotherapy cycles and 35 days of radiation, Damion credits his doctors, nurses and staff for getting him through this tough journey, but also credits keeping a positive attitude.

God Bless you. My dad has been having issues swallowing and they found an abnormal growth today. We won’t know if it’s cancer or not until next week. To say I’m stressed and upset would be an understatement. I’m a wreck. I already lost my mom two years ago to cancer. I hope they find a cure for ALL cancers.

I'm sus that I have throat cancer. I've had pain in my ears for over a year and I got my ears checked twice, nothing. For the last 4 months I have a feeling of something being stuck in my throat, it makes me gag so much that I uncontrolably throw up especially early in the morning. When I throw up a little slimy blood comes too. Not from my stomach. It's from my throat. It feels like I have a scar inside my throat but it doesn't burn like a regular scar. It feels like a disgusting infection or something. I can eat and drink as usual, I don't feel any difference in my throat when I swallow but I have lost taste and it makes everything taste awful, hence why I don't desire to eat. Idk. I also have an intense headache sometimes and feel tired after eating to the point that I absolutely have to sleep... I thought I was just a little sick and it would pass but it's been 4 months and my throat is still "sick".

I have lip and throat cancer next week I will visit my doctor I hope I will have chance to get marry with my fiancé we had just plans to get marry this year but cancer maybe stop me and she and my family doesn’t know yet that I have cancer 😭😭😭😭

Please give me answer of my message sir as much can possible sir my father affected with 2stage throat cancer about 1. 5 year ago and he got 34 redation and 7 chemotherapy and he got normal report of cancer but sir one month ago he effected with fever and then he cured from fever but his voice changed with cough and his voice did not recovered although we went those hospital where we got treatment of this diseases doctor checked it with ultrasound and andosocooy and doctor said everything is normal but sir his voice is not changing from 20 days sir what should we do please tell me plz
I don't hope I don't have cancer. I cant figure out what my problem is. I went to my dentist and oral surgeon last week to be evaluated about my recent dark spot in my mouth that has appeared again after years. The oral surgeon offered me a biopsy, and he said it would cost over $1,000 with my insurance. I had so many health problems since 2008 when I graduated high school. As for the month and throat problem, the roof palate of my mouth turned dark brown/black in 2017 or 2018. I had a black doctor at the time. He told me nothing was wrong with my mouth and black people have darker gums. He ignored my symptoms. Months and years later, my tonsils have been completely swollen and they never went down. The back of my mouth is always red, and there are small lumps hidden below my tonsils. I did go to an otolaryngologist (ENT) last year. He looked and immediately said my tonsils need to be removed. I still think there is something more going on. I have also been dizziness with vertigo since February. I have a neurologist appointment on May 3. My mouth and throat has been red and swollen since 2017 or 2018. It looks hideous.

I have four swollen nodes two under my chin one under my ear one at the side, I can swallow easily but in my throat at the back there are red bumps and on one side there is a large bumps and small one scattered around it's irritating can't drink cold water it causes pain. Do you think it's cancer
