Rats, I missed this LIVE. So glad I can watch it after the fact. I just got a Simply Sixteen on a Little Foot Frame with the Little Buddy System. Still learning and loving it.
You guys have so much info. I got no training I had t set it up as it was shipped to me, we have no dealer in our area, we are in a very rural area in Tennessee.
@@HandiQuilter Thank you, I ordered from Sewing Machine Plus and got a killer of a deal with all kinds of extra's the year I got it. I just watch your videos and then try it out. I live in very rural area in Middle Tennessee. I actually was looking at another Brand and when I called Sewing Machine Plus the lady that I spoke with and ended up being my salesperson (and they sell all brands) highly suggested the Handi Quilter and gave me all the reasons why.
Had a Baby Lock Crown Jewell II. Great to get into longarm work. Pantographs and such. Last year my wife, the quilter, convinced me (the longarm 'operator') to move up to the Amara 20 with ProStitcher Premium. Wow am I glad I did. So much more opportunity with PS and the Amara is a fine tuned machine. It reminds me of a very high end CNC milling machine I've programmed and operated for work. The Amara's bigger throat allows me to use the more standard "Studio" frame, instead of that Baby Lock Momentum frame, which moves back and forth. Much more easy to load quilts. I love this Amara w/PS and my output and design creativity makes my wife very very happy indeed. Question for Kim and Christina, and all the really talented and smart HQ commenters......I still pin to the leaders and can do so pretty quickly. Does anyone use those "snappers" devices instead of pins, and do you think it's faster than pinning? Thanks all!
I bought the Simply Sixteen 7 years ago and love it. I debated between it and the next one up, which is now discounted. I am very happy with it for just playing around and getting some quilts done. Thanks for all you do, your video's are very helpful.
Hey ladies, good evening. Wish I had this info before my journey to a longarm. I took about 10 years to get up the courage to purchase one and settled on an Amara because it was the only one that felt 'right' in my hands and I didn't feel like I was wrassling a bear as I did with some other brands. Now, I just need to learn to use the Prostitcher (I'm OK on ruler work and some free motion meandering, but the computer scares the Bejesus out of me...)...thank you for your wonderful educational sessions that are accessible to anyone. You guys rock.
Hello friend! We're so glad you're part of the Handi Quilter family. We definitely want you to get the most out of your Pro-Sticher. If you have questions, you can always give us a call! You can also ask questions in the Handi Quilter community Facebook group: facebook.com/groups/55512746323
#sharon Morris I’m waiting for the delivery and setup of my new long arm and frame I’ve learned sooo much from watching your watch and learn!! Thank you ❤
We'd love to get you set up, Darlene! We do have a few specials right now -- including free shipping! (It usually costs a few hundred dollars to ship a longarm). You can call us at 877-697-8458
Hi Teri, What a great question!!! We usually tell people to get as much throat space as your budget will allow. The Amara 24 is a very popular machine, because of the throat space!
That is generally due to tension issues or a burr along the thread path. There are lots of variables involved though. What type/brand of thread are you using?
#HQLIVE The instructions for putting my quilting machine stand together was horrible and I’m still not sure it is correct. I didn’t get a handi quilter😳 Are the stands basically the same as far as putting them together?
I don't have a local dealer to where I live here in Choctaw Oklahoma how would I get ahold of somebody to come out and service my machine hashtag Pro Stitcher

Many people use the snappers and swear by them. Also zippers. Kim and Kristina both pin or baste to their leaders. Whatever works best for you!!
I really love watch you two. I have a Moxie and love it.

I guess it's hashtag live thank you girls I also have another question about the threads why mine keeps breaking off
That is generally due to tension issues or a burr along the thread path. There are lots of variables involved though. What type/brand of thread are you using?
#HQLIVE I bought my Moxie and a 10' loft table 1 yr ago to kick off retirement. Already wishing for more throat space and a pro stitcher lite 😊
Congratulations on your retirement, Chris!! FYI, there are some pretty great deals right now on a Pro-Stitcher Lite!
I have a 12 foot frame for my Forte, is there alternative
You can add a 2' section so you can set it up in increments of 2'. Ex: 8' (w/out extra piece), 10', 12' (without extra piece), 14'.
#HQLIVE The instructions for putting my quilting machine stand together was horrible and I’m still not sure it is correct. I didn’t get a handi quilter😳 Are the stands basically the same as far as putting them together?
All brands have their own type of frame system.
