Perhaps Gastro+ is their food court branding? It was "new" for me too. I haven't visited Centrepoint in a very long time. Decathlon is the "newest" anchor tenant so hopefully it will bring back some life to the mall. Not sure about Sanur but Crystal Jade in Centrepoint has closed

Heeren would be ideal to hold a bicycle event on a busy Saturday Sunday right smack at the busy road junction. Once that little old building complete transforming into something biophilic and perhaps with Colours, however The challenge for the event organiser would be routing the riding track. Not in terms of the length and number of barricades required but without obstructing the busy Sunday walkers path. Initially was think8ng about routing along the street pass the former ambercromb& fitch and apple(the street is so wide) but people can’t walk into the shops … one way is to do a hairpin loop that ends in front of the current adidas shop! Along the walkway not in front of shop but adjacent to the road. This way no crisscrossing with walkers. You would only need one line of barricades because the other side is the bushes and road.
Hold the event at Heeren. Will have to be confined within Heeren compound. Ground floor basement and I notice Theres a biophilic stairwell that goes up 7 -8 stories high, at the rear of the Heeren building.
I think forget biophilic for this small building. Save it for the next big mall transformation along orchard road. Let’s do Colours on white glossy tiles? . Can’t think of a nice shape for the building thou.

I don't really have in depth history knowledge of the area but (based on my understanding) Somerset MRT is named because of the road that is right above it: Somerset Road. It is not a district per say, but when you tell a Singaporean to meet at Somerset, he/she will know what you mean.

Yeah we got a couple of community clusters and the government is doing its best to contain the spread. Cross fingers we will be okay.

Is the district named after the English County of Somerset?
I believe so. I used to live on Devonshire Road, very close by.
