Is strange that Mamprusi people are fighting with kusalsi over Bawku. If the Busangas were to fight the kusalsi over the ownership of Bawku that would have been understandable. Bawku belong the Kusalsi people pure and simple. Bawku was and is a Kusalsi land since ancient times. Bawku as township was established by the Busanga people as settlers. The Mamprusi people just like Busangas, Mossi and all the other tribes in Bawku are settlers, they only start misbehaving whenever NPP or parties belong to the NPP tradition is in power.

She is royal and she said the Kusassis called on the overlord of Mamprugu to assist them to win the battle and reclaim their lands from the Busaga's. Kusasi as well as Frafra didn't believe in chieftaincy it was introduced to them by the white people who believe in being landowners. So before independence they as well as the frafra started introducing the chieftaincy culture. How can I own land and you a stranger my chief?
