First of all, Let me set you straight. Rob plays a lot of his own tracks because his tracks are BANGIN! This man is a legend. If you know anything about Techno you would know this. Ask any real Techno head. And as far as his daughter just standing there, Do you know how nerve racking it is playing in front of a crowd? A big crowd? A huge crowd like this one? You can get all the experience you want djing at home, But it takes time to get comfortable in front of a crowd like this. Im just glad there is someone like him to pass the torch to the next generation. There are already few female Techno djs and very very few black ones. There is so much bad electronic music out here now. At least we know his daughter is in good hands and has great taste in music like his father.
This guy is so cool. I really love how he's not jumping up and down like a lunatic during his set. It's one of those magical sets that just keeps you listening, seemlessly blended together to take you on an uplifting journey, love it.
As a dad, I absolutely love seeing this father-daughter interaction. Who better to be up on stage with, than her father? Plus, the music they put down is pure Detroit Techno. The music speaks for itself. Respect the "Floorplan".
Lyric is so much more relaxed at the controls than some of the earlier vids posted of Floorplan...she's being a lot more creative with her mixes... wicked father/daughter dynamic. My dad was a PhD in organic and molecular chemistry...the smarts in our family musta skipped a generation (or i was dropped on my head as a baby) cuz there was absolutely no likelihood of me ever teaming up with him to do that chemistry jazz. I kinda envy these two ")
Whoa!!! How have I never heard of this guy?? I love how there's just so much mixing going on, and yet, it doesn't feel choppy or forced. It's like layers of beats and music being constantly Added and Subtracted and Added again, and Subtracted etc. This is so hypnotic! The mix she began at 28:08 is very nicely done...and which then segues into Donna Summer.... Great!! It almost brings tears to my eyes...seeing them work together. You see....I LIVE for music....my avocation is to be a DJ. But...I ended up being a cog on the wheel of corporate America. Yeah, it pays the bills. And it's a steady paycheck with health insurance. But still...I wanna be a DJ! Bwaaa.... ;-) Seriously though....I'm getting ready to retire early, and my plan is to go to DJ school and/or learn the ropes 'on the job', by offering my services for FREE, to some local DJs that I admire. I'll do whatever they want...fetch coffee...push a button at their direction...manage their personal schedule...book their travel...anything to be in their midst and be able to observe and learn from them. But back to see this daughter and dad. You see...I did not have a good relationship with my dad. And then he died, suddenly. So our chance for ever having a good relationship was forever lost. So to see this daughter and dad...and the fact that they are both doing what they LOVE, and TOGETHER. Ugh... I just can't even imagine what that must be like. How might my life have been different, if "I' had a dad who was a DJ, and where there was a true connection and bond between us. They are so lucky, those two, to have such a beautiful relationship.
I was today years old when i found out who this man is and i got happier by every second just by watching them play together and listen to their funky tunes. Not disappointed at all, i got instantly uplifted. At first i thought it is just another clickbait title, but i am happy to admit i was wrong... I enjoyed every second of it. All i can say is thank you.
Probably one of the best DJs I heard, and I been in the scene from day 1. He brings the right vibe and attitude that the real people who started this scene was about.
Only one tiny weeny complaint in this otherwise brilliant set... pls don't fade out Tell Me No Lie before the best bit! The final third is just so good
These two play quality tunes that make you want to dance and I would rather dance my arse off to great music than watch some bellend waving their arms around and taking selfies... respect.
Bit late to this but people have a problem with his daughter being there? he's just passing the torch on just like Mike Banks and Jeff Mills did with Rob himself
nice set and nice to father with daughter. I know what people mean when they pay to see Robert Hood and I do agree if His daughter is playing it should be said on tickets ETC. Still nice set and I don't think Lyric did a bad job. give her a break all the haters on hear.
Bring your daughter to work day? I am 100% envious, lucky woman. enjoy the music with out dissecting credibility, crowd or color - be in the moment..... wait, where am I F it, I'm dancing!!!
+Emiliano Birlangeri I have a vague recollection of seeing him from afar once before many years ago somewhere on Europe - and yes - he has a affable down to earth personality in real life. 😊
Obv lyric is not as educated as her dad, but tbh what she plays is kinda out the box of floor plan and I can see floor plan teaching her what to do, when they are together but tbh some of her tracks has been superb, here’s hoping she has thee best tutor and she becomes a phenomenal dj in her own right🙏🏻 if she patches it it’s a wasted dj wisdom, but I hope to hear good stuff from lyric in the future 👌🏻

Bruce Wayne Well said
I believe his daughter also sings on his tracks when they perform as Floorplan. Makes it even more amazing.
YOU ARE ABSOLUTELLY RIGHT! WORD BY WORD MATE!
Their sets are banging. I'm just glad we still have young people playing techno, and not all EDM or trap.
Amen amen amen buddy, people are quick to judge, slow to empathise.
The Last Prophet of electronic music.
Word!
word! (TWICE)

I'm an atheist but this set is making me praise the Lord

ROBERT HOOD AND LYRIC HOOD NEVER GROW OLD
Every track. Every single one. Mad love for Floorplan
It's such a beautiful view to see father and daughter rocking the crowd. Blessing!!!

What an opening track , high volume on this super set . Believably good this mix . His daughter is going to be one of the best in the near future.

Probably one of the best DJs I heard, and I been in the scene from day 1. He brings the right vibe and attitude that the real people who started this scene was about.
