Angelina opened the concert with this song. No one expected this! The audience was shocked! Stunned! Angelina is expressing how how she is to finally be able to sing concerts again after Covid. She was “on top of the world”! I love the call and response between herself and the guitar. Really well done and spontaneous! Angelina having fun, and at her best!
OMG I was shocked and overwhelmed. What was THAT? I knew neither the original singer Labrinth nor this song. I listened straight away. Was interesting but not my taste. Then I listened to Angelina's version again, I don't know how many times, her version blows my mind, WOW. This girl kills me, Angelina's courage, this self-confidence with this song to open her concert. Angelina shows right at the beginning of the concert what the audience can expect spectacular. 💯 *AJ* 💯
When Angelina talks she is that 16 years young girl! And when AJ starts singing she becomes the Monster „Biest“ Angel 😇 amazing unbelievable incredible! She is a Wonder !! I love her❤.Great reaction Mr.J. and Family🇺🇸👍👌🇨🇭❤️✌️🙏😇👋🏻🙋♂️
I don't fully agree because there is one word which describes her and that is "Angelina". All other words are unnecessary, although all of us often try to find a something suitable,
You don’t need to worry about the order you choose to listen to Angelina. Yes, her voice is stronger and more resonant now, but she was the best child singer any of us has ever heard. Today’s Angelina is putting more of her own stamp on songs, and I think we’ll see more of her as a jazz singer than in the past. I like that, but her younger performances captivate me. That mix of incredible vocal ability and musicality is stunning because we see a unique combination of childhood innocence, confidence, stage presence, and humility. I’ve never seen anything like that. A perfect illustration-one of the best comments I’ve seen is during that saxophone riff in I Put a Spell on You. Angelina has just stunned the reactor with how she killed the opening of that song. There’s a close-up of Angelina moving her head back and forth with the beat, waiting to start singing again, completely present. The reactor said the look on 9-year old Angelina’s face is: “Yeah, I got this.” And she does.
I know this is weird, but the thought is interesting. I guess we all agree that her voice is more mature and at 9 years old she would not have been hit the high notes to sound as they now do. But when I think of it, I can't help but think that neither could she now sing something like "I Put A Spell On You" to sound as good as she did then.
J, doesn't matter the sequence. Lots of reactors start with Bohemian Rhapsody, then go back in time. Once they are exposed to her exquisite tones, soul, emotion, intonations and jazz style, they can't help themselves and often jump ahead. Curiosity gets the better of everyone. The journey is just as wonderful.
Great reaction 🙂 I don't think I have ever been so surprised by anything as when she opened her show with this performance. There I was, rather confident that I knew EVERYTHING she'd ever done, after 9+ years of listening to her, but NO. It was almost surreal tbh. But a very pleasant surprise I have to say, as this one is in a genre of music she hasn't dipped her vocal chords too deep in so far. And needless to say, she completely nailed it. Much love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥
Hey of course you’re curious. Who wouldn’t be? No guilt called for. Skip around; follow recommendations. There’s no formula; nothing you can do wrong except not react to AJ. Each year each song on her journey is spectacular in its unique way.
Mr J… I appreciate how much you “get” this girl and her vocal abilities. It’s going to be amazing to watch her as she releases her originals later this year.
I come to this and other reactor channels for the pauses and comments! Please continue as you have been, Mr. J. No rule about whether you watch an Angelina song when she's nine or 16. It's going to be superb and you'll be amazed even after hearing the same song many times. What surprises me is that she can bring out so many different voices, depending on the song. She can sing it sweet and pure, like a classical piece (check out "Song for A") or belt a pop song like Mercy, or as always put the jazz in where in the original it was not. Please try more of the 2022 Norway concert songs. All spectacular and different.
She is giving us new definitions like Epic! This was Epic! Now we may never hear that word again! Legendary is next! If she wanted to, she could change the world, just ask her followers because they will help if asked!
As for jumping ahead, don't worry. It is only human to be curious about the future, especially when wondering what a child will be like when they get older. At least you can jump ahead instantly when it comes to Angelina. I was one of the millions who saw her first audition on NGT within days of the performance; and for every advancement in her talent, I have had to wait sometimes for months to hear the next huge step in her singing talent! Sometimes over the last 9 years it has been hard to anxiously wait for the next video to pop up on UA-cam, but every time it has been worth the wait! The biggest thing for me is never knowing if I will still be alive to hear the next one. I was 72 when I heard her the first time, and since then my goal has been to live long enough to see her sing as an adult! I am 80 now and everyday I pray that I can live just a few more years, and when she is 20-21 I can somehow travel to wherever to see the adult Angelina and hear her beautiful voice live at least once! In my opinion there has never been and may never be another person and voice like Angelina Jordan!!!
You are not alone in trying to describe just why Angelina touches us. It almost seems that ANY words are not only redundant, but descriptors uselessly try clawing up a giddily high slippery slope where only one person can mount successfully: Angelina, sitting- or standing- barefoot, serene and confident, without the arrogance that often accomplishes such a feat that Angelina seems to so effortlessly achieve with every song.
16 sounding 35. It had been some years since she headlined a concert in her homeland of Norway due to Covid. She clearly made a break from her childhood concerts to this new mature adult Angelina in voice and looks, even at 16, amazingly. This was a surprise and pleasure for her fans. Lots of great music in this concert series from last summer.

Mr. J think back about a month or so ago to a time before you ever heard of Angelina Jordan. If somebody told you that you would spend this much time listening to a little girl sing. And that you would do this many reactions to a single artist. What would you have said !!
The opening of her Concert was unexpected. She did a great Job with the falsetto Duet with the electric guitar 🎸 and that's true Life 🎵 When you listen to labyrinth, he use autotunes in the studio version and sing it Life with a Megafon. He can't do the high notes 🎶 as Angelina
I just discovered AJ a few months ago. I'm an old jazz musician (72) who "retired" from music while in college to pursue a career in science. I have listened to many styles of music from folk, jazz, fusion, blues, r&b, rock, pop, metal, grunge classical, rap .... I love good music no matter the style. What fascinates me about AJ is that she so obviously loves music and through her covers has explored so many genres over more than a century in time. In each style she excells in her own personal take on the originals and the original artists adding their skills to her personal toolkit. I've never heard an artist with so much versatility and depth at the same time. Her problem is she can do it all, so finding a unique voice that resonates with a broad fanbase may be hard. Or we may just have to get used to going to concerts where the fans range in age from 9 to 90 with songs from to the same age range. If kids don't mind me being there I don't mind them being there. AJ also seems to have a worldwide follow spanning many cultures and races. I love all this. I just hope the world is ready for it. If so it will be a better place. If she really is an angel or from another planet, then I wish her success as the first intergalactic singing sensation. 😊😊
This was the unexpected beginning of the most fantastic concert I had been to..... until the one 3 days later in Sandefjord that was in a complete other league😊
Imagine opening a jazz concert with a Labyrinth song. Musically she's fearless, but she must have wondered how it would be received. You can see how gratified Angelina was by the reaction of the jazz fans.

I don't understand why people often say that their adult voice has gotten better. it has not. it's different, ok but it hasn't gotten any better. that would be a great injustice to the child prodigy angelina. whoever has heard her early songs, reading the lyrics from a mobile phone with a microphone on the couch and still making little masterpieces. or standing and singing -this is a mans world- that you get goosebums..her voice has always been out of this world .she could always sing like velvet in the bass range, or sing clearly and powerfully in the highest range. everything was already there. just different.

You should try It's a man's world audio version, Leaked.
The original was torn up. From the press and music lovers. But this...
How'd you like the duet she sang with the guitar at 5:40?
GREETINGS EARTH MAN: I cannot believe you've watched all these vids and you still have not reacted to Suspicious Minds.
Dude, the best part is you still HAVE soooo many videos to go through. I like that you’ve watched a couple and got curious to jump ahead!! I think when reactors do this they really get a sense of what we all mean when we say “rabbit hole” I would even dare you to watch one more before you go back to the younger days. Try a super short cover “New Orleans cover” from a quick tik tok she did, THEN you’re gonna be completely flabbergasted more than every other time you have reacted. DOOO IT 😂❤
Trust me… it’s a literal statement when you read “1000” voices. Every single cover will blow you away.
