One thing that made baseball and basketball fun on the Wii was that your teammates would be random Miis from your console. The Switch just didn’t utilize Miis enough

The issue is there’s no progression which limits replayability, which I’m pretty sure poof was trying to say. If there’s nothing to grind there’s not really a motive to play for lots of people. The fun of Wii sports was getting pro in all the modes and going for platinums but that doesn’t exist in this game other than a couple modes. When I play this game I find myself playing for about thirty minutes playing the gamemodes once or twice each and then I’m done and don’t touch it for another month.
There is a ranking system and a points system to earn customization options for your character, it's just that all of that locked behind playing online unfortunately.
