This kind of video has gone a long way to show me that engaging in WH40k on TTS could be worth looking at for me. Very informational but also easy to understand. Vital for new/first-time players like me, I think. Thank you.
i didn't see it mentioned, but you can also press tab while moving the model and the measurement will appear from its original location, same as toggling it in the right click menu but you can choose when it happens instead of always on
Hey Tortoise, big thanks for theses videos on TTS me and some bros are starting to play there and knowing this kind of hints is very helpful! Would love one on another functionalities I saw on the models itself. :D
They have different states. So if you either right click and select different states you can change the colour and size. Or press 1 through 5 on your numpad
Measure movement toggle not working for me. Hovering over model and hitting tab doesn't move origin of measurement at base for me. Also after hitting tab TTS stays in measure tool mode instead of going back to grab. Looks like its an issue for others with quick google search but don't see a resolution. One post said ruler mode needs to be on but I don't find a way to toggle ruler mode on/off... Got it mouse over 4th rectangle down on the left then mouse over 3rd circle to the right and click it until it says auto otherwise you will not be able to measure as shown in the video
the remove terrain feature before accepting the map gets borked 2 out of every 3 tries, I'll additive load the map and the buttons won't appear at all, the white rectangle stays there clipping with the board and I can't delete the terrain manually so I end up having to reload the entire ftc table mod, do you have any fixes or ideas on what may be causing it?
That's usually an issue with the map itself When maps are exported each feature gets a scripting tag that designates it as terrain to get deleted when you hit the remove button, so maps that are saved or exported incorrectly (or re-edited after export) can interact in weird ways. If you get the mat interacting with the white board rectangle, you can alt+drag over the middle to select one of them, and use the move gizmo to move it .01" up so it takes precedence
Question on playing 40k My 2 buddies and I are interested in playing Warhammer 40k on tabletop sim just because it would be much cheaper than getting all the mini figures and playing in person. We were all wondering though how much would it be in total for us to play? None of us have tabletop sim, so we do not know if we have to pay for certain figures as well as maps. I can’t seem to find any info on an exact or an estimate of the price (I might just he looking in the wrong places lol).
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if you and your homies all get Tabletop Sim., all of the assets/features you need to play Warhammer 40,000 should be free. Mods and workshop tools on steam should have you covered! So the only cost on you and your friends would be just the cost of the program Tabletop sim.
@@Maghwar reddit answered me 2 weeks ago, but this is appreciated as well! We have been grinding space marine 2, and im getting my necron codex in today.. to get ready for tabletop sim :)

Is there a way to make objective markers display a radius around them? Would be useful for identifying which units are in control range.
