Don’t forget modern medicine offers things like anti inflammatory meds, muscle relaxers, heating pads, icy hot/biofreeze, physical therapy, etc etc. so many options.

The chiropractor is also a band-aid. Consistent physical therapy is the long-term solution, depending on the diagnosis.

No shortage of advice here. After being paralyzed in 89 - ATV accident. I can tell you that I have tried it all. And the only thing lets me survive is proper medication from pain management. I was able to finally walk in 1990. After my mri, short of a miracle, I can’t convince the Pain it is not there. Good luck on your journey.

The first chiropractor ( the new one) Did you whole back and its normal to be sore after the first one. The second appointment you would be less sore. your regular chiropractor just treated the area you were hurting. That's the main difference. I was sent to this rehab office for my back. I only went once that was the worst pain. you get in this machine. They tie down your top half and strap down on your ankles and feet. The top machine pulls up and the bottom machine pulls down for 30 mins. It was painful and not fun. I almost passed out a few times.

I'm 45.. We have back probs all thru my family. Mine started right when I hit 30. Somedays are OK and others I'm crying on the floor. If it gets bad, go get an MRI just incase something is wrong! Also, yes keep doing the yoga! It really helps your core. Try a heating pad on it. If you can't stand heat on it get an ice pack. Muscle rubs work for a lil bit too. Hope you feel better!!

43 here. It's been at least a year, I've been dealing with chronic neck myofacial and tmj, shoulder pain and carpel tunnel and was basically forced to stop working. My Hands would even cramp up using my mouse. Couldnt hold my phone at all. Most days were painful and in different but usual areas. I think all my past overuse, posture, computer work, heavy lifting and stress of succeeding def contributed. My sales have tanked. It's hard but I have to take care of me first, then my business. Cuz the healthier I am, the healthier my business will be. Mind over matter ❤

Hi just some suggestions of what to do that worked for me. Hot epsom salts bath, that draws out the soreness and relaxes the muscles. Than if still sore use an ice pack, it takes down the swelling of the muscles.. There are also simple exercises you can Google and do. Chiropractors just don't work for muscle issue, they are just to realign the spine and can do more harm than go. Deep messages just aggravate the muscles more and put them into spasms, if your muscles feel hard and tight they are in spasms. Hope you feel better. Love your videos, keep us up to date on your back.

I've been dealing with sciatica for over 20 years. Applying heat to the affected area and sitting with a racquetball ball between painful area and chair back when resting (move around a little to act as a massage) have done more to improve it than anything else I've tried. Also rest is important. Taking a couple days to heal will do 100x more than anything else. You need to let the inflammation settle down.

I was reliving everything you are going thru as I went thru the same thing years ago. The sciatica pain was the worst and got to the point where nothing was working and I could hardly walk. I had a couple of episodes like you but the last one came on and never went away. After a year of constant pain everyday multiple drs meds long as$$ steroid injections straight into my spine etc I had surgery. Everyone advised me against it but I was the one living with it. Immediately after the surgery no more sciatica - all gone. I could not believe it. I had my life back. I was only 30yrs old then and to this day I don't know what caused it. If I had not had surgery I for sure would have been wheelchair bound and on disability in my early 30s. Hopefully you don't have to go this route but I came here to say to consult with a neurosurgeon versus an orthopedic dr. I was given this advice and was the best advice ever. Orthopedics deal with bone and this is more of a nerve issue. I had a ruptured disc (aka slipped disc ,'pinched nerve) I am fine now but I go to a chiro once a week just to keep things aligned and just started that within the last year and I am 57 now. I go to Joint chiropractic which is affordable at 72-mo and I get an adjustment each week. I hope you find some relief thru massage yoga etc. living with pain 24/7 is not living.

I'm not against chiropractors, but this sounds like me. The pain shooting down the leg was 2 herniated disks. My chiropractor missed that diagnosis. Don't mess around with this. If it is pressing on nerve ignoring it can lead to permanent damage. It was a long healing process with physical therapy among the treatment.

I'm surprised they didn't offer Muscle stimulation or a lumbar belt. Those spasms are muscles saying they don't remember what to do. Muscle stim retrains the muscle. I don't agree with some of the previous viewer saying Chiropractors are not real doctors, they don't work, blah, blah, blah. They ARE real doctors and they DO work. If someone had a bad experience with a chiropractor it's because they went to the wrong chiropractor.

Please Dave go to an orthopedist and get yourself properly diagnosed! They can find out and diagnose what’s really going on. My mom had a patient that got paralyzed from a chiropractor doing an adjustment - your back is really nothing to mess with. Also, as they say, “Move it or lose it.” That’s probably why you felt better the other day from walking all around. Maybe you and Tina and your kids can start a PE program for your homeschool where you all walk a certain amount together and do your own yoga or stretching exercises. Hope you feel better 🥰 Jill the ADHDer.

Dave, if they’re all saying that you walk wrong maybe that’s the issue? My husband had back pain and someone said he had a bad walk/gait that put stress on his back. He went to one of those places that measure the stress on your feet when walking by pressing into a mold. It showed what kind of orthopaedic mold he needed inside his shoes. After his walk was corrected, it didn’t happen overnight, but it eventually fixed his knee and back problem. It hasn’t come back. If I were you I’d try everything because you don’t need that kind of pain in your life. You’re too busy! 😊

You need to go to get an MRI done they need to see what the actual cause of this is. It’s most likely you have a herniated disc you could even be bone on bone as bad as you were talking about feeling. I wouldn’t put this off any longer and here is why. It takes a while to get the MRI then they have to read it then they have to send you to a specialist whether that be a neurologist or an orthopedic that takes a long time. The quicker you get the quicker you will have permanent relief instead of these massages and temporary chiropractic fixes. I hope you find relief soon.

Dude, it’s stressful to see your pain. Please please go to an orthopedic doctor! I went to a chiropractor when I dislocated a rib dog walking, and he decided I needed my neck adjusted too. Stupid me, I said ok. I ended up with a herniated disc pushing against my spinal cord. I quit my dog walking biz, had over 100 clients, walked 16 hr days, and got a desk job. You gotta get the inflammation down, can’t keep pushing through it. I pushed through my pain until I was passing out and in ER. Take care of yourself.

If you were in Europe, it would be done with 1 visit to ER, you would get a shot, go home & be better in 2 days.

Maybe you need to see spine and pain management doctor? I see one as I have a narrowing in my spinal vertebrae in my lower back. Won't be cheap but worth it if it works. Hope you feel better! 😊

I had a period in my life with a bad back, lower back. I finally saw a Chiropractor for a few visits and he gave me 3 exercises to do and they WORKED! Every time I felt my back hurting I'd do the exercises, which would help immediately. Find a good Chiropractor and look up good exercises for lower back. There is help if you can find the right kind.

The best one was the knee-to-chest stretch for me. Also once you've stretched to the chest, I pulled the knee up like you are going to pull it to the chest but pull it to the opposite hip and if you feel it in your butt you are doing it right. This one helped immensely. Good Luck!

Go to the doctor FFS. My husband screwed around with similar issue and after multiple chiropractor appointments he now has permanent nerve damage.

Maybe instead of trying 20 different things to help your back, maybe just go to the Doctor and figure it and fix it once and for all lol

Once you find a good chiropractor and/or masseuse stick with that person. Not trying to be negative but I had back pain until I went from 5'9" 230lbs. to 200lbs. Losing weight made a big difference.

You mentioned that you walk wrong. That is probably your problem. It is one I have had since I started walking as a baby. I had to go to an orthopaedic doctor for relief. I am guessing the activity of pulling the wagon behind you made you walk differently (maybe correctly?) and that eased your back pain some. I suggest you see an orthopaedic doctor about your back problem and be sure to tell him you walk wrong.
