This seems pretty personal. The shark had tons of options, whale, other surfers, etc. Evan after eating a couple surfers, he still went after her. These two have some history we're not hearing about.

So white sharks will usually pick one out of a group of people and stick to them , hit them and then return and the others can be beating the crap out of it and it will literally come back to it's initial target not sure why that is but if you are lucky enough that could be a weak spot for the shark.

Basically America had used the great white ever since Jaws its the ultimate giant death by teeth we see yes bull sharks are hyper aggressive yes they are 13ft long but mostly we see them as smaller great whites or young great whites tiger sharks on the other hand are mainly in tropics Hawaii Florida and such we don't see them as much a threat as they are because of them being called the trash cans of the sea no America sees the great white as the ultimate shark because they swim all over the oceans are giants the teeth are massive and one can swallow you whole without trouble.

The Shark was 23 feet. Which made it a massive shark for a Great White.
It also was hyper intelligent apparently as it kept going after her despite having access to a abundant food source such as the whale, even ambushed her unlike how great whites would hunt prey normally.
I like to think of intelligent fictional Great Whites as the Bruce Variant.
A Type of Great White that gained sentience and has grown past the 20-24 foot mark to essentially rival its main competitor the Orca. Essentially its a mini Meg with at least one variant to have reached 33-35 feet.
Heck you can make the case of this shark from the Shallows being a descendant of the original Bruce the Shark. It looked female and sharks at her age would be roughly near 40 years old or more making it likely she has had little whites in her decades of life.

Always frustrated me near the end of this film where the guy gets himself perished trying to push her up onto the safety of the rocks. If he had just pulled himself up first he would have been able to quickly pull her up after and saved them both

Shitty movie but the surfer attack gave me chills of realism
There is no way that shark would be hunting and attacking anything when they have a huge whale to feast on. I dislike these movies because they perpetuate peoples perception of them being nothing but a killing machine. Which is not good for conservation. Ocean Ramsey has demonstrated that a human is of no interest to them when they are either full or they have a sufficient kill ready to eat. We need to protect these animals.

Its great the girl could show you the true nature of sharks, but if you ask any TRUE shark scientist they will tell you that ocean ramsay is not a good example for anybody!
She is constantly touching sharks (for clicks), has blatantly dumb advices on how to deal with sharks ("dont get your Hand Inside its mouth") and is therefore creating a false security which might get people killed.
Yes she seems to know how to Deal with sharks, but remember she has a whole Crew surrounding her. The Videos are in somewhat "controlled" environments with the People around her reducing the risk of an attack. Also all the cameras in the water, giving Off Electric Signals are most likely confusing the sharks, therefore reducing the Risk of an attack. Predators in General only strike if they Feel safe to do so. (1 meal is not worth the risk of not being able to hunt anymore).
So yeah, Please Take her Videos with a Grain of salt and especially: DONT get the idea of touching sharks!
It’s the conservationist in me. People develop very real phobias from these movies. This has a knock on effect that creates fear, then also risking the sharks lives. There is even research on the topic.

I dont get why everyone is so concerned with the shark not being realistic. If you want that, go watch one of the countless documentaries on them. This is a movie made for entertainment, so of course the shark is going to target the human who is literally the protagonist of the entire thing, otherwise what the hell would even be the point of watching it. And everyone wants to act like sharks dont target people like this like we have some treaty or agreement with them to where theyll just leave us alone, when is reality theyre wild animals and will kill whatever they think they can. Look at the girl who was attacked and killed by 3 tiger sharks in hawaii right in front of her mom, these things are ruthless killing machines.
