Allegri is a really smart manager, there’s no doubt in my mind that he’ll get the best out of Ronaldo without sacrificing the rest of his team. My respect for him doubled in the game against Spurs in Wembley. The way he wrestled the game away from Spurs with 2 subs after Spurs had completely dominated the game was really impressive, he’s definitely one of the best managers in the world.

I agree, Ronaldo and Higuain would be great as well. From my experience watching ronaldo play in Real and Portugal, he would be better off with another striker, then him being a target man. Ronaldo likes to have freedom of movement, to come from space, and from behind. Him being a 9 target man, it isnt the same thing imo. There were some instances ( champions league games) where Fergusson put him as a sole striker. but he realy didnt played like one at the time in United. It was a false nine sort to speak, he would just cry havoc. But it was a different ronaldo younger etc.
Manzdukic plays for the team. He brings three roles to the team, striker midfield n defender. Much better than higuan.

Very simple they played with a back 10, but fair play to them because it worked.
Funny how someone with the name "Joao Silva" would claim Portugal were the best lol.
And I think it was luck anyway. Goal from Eder caught everyone off guard and was all the way in extra time too. Apart from that Portugal weren't the best side of the tournament.
The fact France had top scorer (Griezmann - 6 goals) and joint 2nd top scorers too (Giroud + Payet - 3 Goals Each) whereas Portugal's top scorers where only Ronaldo & Nani with 3 goals each kinda shows their better performance especially considering their tough games with Germany the world champions in the semi final who they beat 2 - 0 whereas Portugal only had Wales in the semis. Plus Portugal had drew games against Poland, Hungary, Austria & Iceland not to mention needing extra time in 3 of their 4 knockout games.
Portugal were largely just lucky as shown by how they finished 3rd in a group below Hungary & Iceland but still ended up winning. Props to them anyway i guess

Amazing holding midfielders and playmakers. Wingers like Cuadrado and D.Costa :BEAUTIFUL. Mandzukic has to be one of the most underrated players in recent times, he is a threat in so many different ways and actually performs when it matters, unlike a certain McDonalds fanatic who I'd hate to see being given a starting spot alongside Ronaldo instead of him
Gonna go with a 4-2-3-1. Center backs being Chiellini and Rugani. Left back being A. Sandro. Right back being an unorthodox Cuadrado and you actually mentioned him in that spot. After seeing Cancelo play today in a friendly, he seems capable, too. Two holding midfielders can be either Bentancur, Pjanic, Marchisio, E. Can or Matuidi (a lot of options here). Left wing is Mandzukic. Right wing is either D. Costa or Bernardeschi. And Dybala sitting just behind C. Ronaldo.
Juve have a wealth of attacking talent now and its inevitable that Higuain gets offloaded in this summer window

I can definitely see them winning it especially with Barca not at their best, Real losing 2 of their key individuals and probably Bayern being the other biggest threat but just with an inferior squad imo

As for Madrid they made a very conscious decision to focus on la Liga and copa, they know with zidane gone and now ronaldo (who is king of ucl for the last 6 years) another ucl run is out the door. Which is ok given these guys went into the history books, and have proved their dominance in Europe, but lacked that fire in Liga. As a madridsta I miss cr7 like F**k, but I get it and can’t help but support my club. Hope cr7 does well though.

As for things stand in Juve, all points out to Higuaín leaving the club. If so Juve ends up with 3 options for the attack in the central corridor: Ronaldo, Mandzukic and Dybala.
I think we'll see more of Dybala-Ronaldo than any other combination, with Dybala playing a role of loose False9 and Ronaldo backing him just like in the same way Benzema and Ronaldo did their partnership in RM. The difference is that Dybala is much more agile, fast and finesse player!
I don't like Juventus... at all... but I really like Dybala and Ronaldo and I'm eager to see them playing together.
The question to be asked is if Allegri will play with attacking wingers or not... Juve has 2 wingers for each side, and good ones. Cuadrado and Bernardeschi, Douglas Costa and Pjaca... and also Moise Kean that is still growing but can be used or even Mandzukic that can play in a wing... what will Allegri do with such talent and how will he make the disposition of Dybala-Ronaldo, if in a 4x2x3x1 with Dybala making the #10 role or if in a 4-4-2 into 4-2-4 like Real Madrid did but with two attacking wingers?!

I think they'd play him in the mandzukic role however he'll have less defensive duties and play further up. He does stay wide sometimes for RM and can help in build up so it would make sense. He'd push up next to Higuain or in front of Higuain when they have a goal scoring opportunity. I would still have him do the physical job becuase I don't think juve are gonna pay him every game so he'll get plenty of changes to rest

The strongest team juve could put out is in a 433 with a midfield 3 and mandzukic and cuadrado as the two hard working wingers and ronaldo striker. 442 with mandzukic and ronaldo strikers, mandzukic being the presser and link man with two hardworking wingers and 2 CMs.
Or for more of a goal threat could play 4231 with dybala cam and ronaldo striker.

What about a 4321 with the usual back 4 ,matuidi on the left Pjanic in the centre for control or Can for a cm who disrupts opposition play through the middle d.Costa on the right cuadrado on as substitute on the right late in games to stretch the opposition and counter attack tired legs ,ronaldo and dybala as the 2 guys in the half spaces with their dominant foot towards goal and mandzukic up top with ronaldo and mandzukic switching positions in the left half space when a ball is played over the top there so mandzukic can knock on for ronaldo to finish and dybala on the edge of the box in case of a miss and higuain on the bench to replace one of the front 3 towards the end of games to score extra with cuadarado on tired legs of opposition.This works for both serie a and CL and depends on opposition strengths.

Excellent! Only gripe I have is calling Allegri a "capable" coach. Coming from a huge Serie A and Italian fan, I hate to say it but Allegri is one of the best tacticians in the world and calling him "capable" should be considered an insult!

a first team head coach/manager who does not put ronaldo in the very front is not a great FT head coach/manager. it's like putting Neuer as a sweeper, still capable but would be a waste of talent
It'd e better if Allegri plays Ronaldo in the number 10 role with Dybala on his right and Douglas Costa (or someone else) on his left with Mandzukic up ahead in the number 9 role. Mandzukic is a better player than Higuain. So the system becomes a 4 2 3 1 with Matuidi and Can providing the defensive shield. This can help create an overload in the midfield and with high pushing full-backs, counterattacking will be much easier and deadly.

As Juventus has great strikers like Higuain or Mandzukic I'd like to see Ronaldo play a similar role to what he does for Portugal, i.e dropping deep to build-up play and with total free movement in the attacking line.
I think the most important thing (if they want the late Real Madrid Cristiano) is to convince Higuain and/or Madzukic, they are not going to play to score goals, but to help Cristiano score... you can see this in the last three seasons with Benzema, a stiker who only score 5 goals in 30+ games in the last La Liga, but who was an essentian piece for Ronaldos performance, and three consecutive Champions Leage
