EAD renewal validity increases to 540 days | Malescu Law

The fact that as of April 8th, 2024, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has increased the automatic validity of EAD card renewals, so those of you who are applying for Employment Authorization Card renewals, from 180 days to 540 days. This increase in validity will apply to those of you who have filed or will file for renewal of the Employment Authorization Document, the EAD card, between October 27, 2023, and until September 30th, 2025.
So once you apply for your EAD renewal within the same category, you are able to receive an increase in validity of up to 540 days, as opposed to 180 days.
