Little House On the Prairie ❤ yes! I’m 51 and that was one of my favorites and Highway to Heaven. My parents were very strict about what we watched on TV. Anyway lol they are doing a marathon on Mother’s Day with all Karen Grassle (Caroline) favorite episodes! I can’t wait 🤣 it’s the little things, brings back all the memories 🥰 wow that liner made all the difference! Beautiful
I'm 41 and Highway To Heaven was a childhood favourite. If watch it every morning with my grandfather. I never got into Little House On The Prairie but we always had it on at my grandparents so it still brings me comfort to see it.

In response to the “bad day” topic. Something I have always said to my daughter is that it’s ok to be mad or sad but it’s not ok to unpack your bags and start paying rent and living there. Feel the feeling. Sit there for a minute and maybe figure out why you are feeling it. Then tell it goodbye It seems to have stuck with her ❤

There’s a difference between repeating all day long to oneself “this is a bad day“, and just excepting that you feel a little low or or upset or sad or whatever. When I accept how I feel instead of trying to talk myself out of it then I’m open to whatever comes next and often the day will turn around. But if I ignore it or try to override my feelings, I just feel worse.

I LOVE the L.A. Colors lip oils! They're only like $2 each. Every scent is great, but my favorite is the "Sweetie" scent. It smells like Bubble Gum. The Strawberry one smells good too! I go through them so fast because of how often I use them, so I buy like 4 at a time. ❤ ❤❤

Those shows, I grew up watching them on Saturday and Sunday mornings. I mean little house on the prairie and the Walton’s, here in the uk, although I’m probably your parents age. Here in the uk we also watch lassie too on the weekend, along with flipper and bonanza. Loved them all. This is a beautiful look.

I bought a sponge that looks just like that from the Makeup Geek sale. Marlena Stell having a sale on all items that remained in stock. I didn't pay more than 5.00 for any item. Emily you look amazing. I love how the look turned out. I would like to see you re create Gigi’s look with drugstore. I have seen a couple other creators tackle this but most products used were high end. By the way setting intentions for the day is a great idea. If you look for the negative that’s what you’ll find. I try to look for the positives in every situation. I’m I always successful, no but attitude makes all the difference.

I know this is cliche but time really is the best medicine and in between find things that make you feel comfort. Take care of yourself. I used to work with a TNR (trap, neuter, return) group, and after they fix the stray cat, they return to their colony, without a cone. They don't need a cone like dogs do, and certainly not for 10 days. When I got my cats fixed, same thing, they didn't send them with a cone either because they said they really don't need one, like dogs do. My cats healed just fine with no problems without the cone. I loved little house when I was younger, and the Waltons too. I tried watching them now, but not as interesting as back then for me. However, I've been watching the old Magnum PI, and enjoying that again...the REAL magnum with Tom Selleck, not the fool they have now. UGH, I hate it when they try to redo an old show, sometimes it works, but not this one, imo. Love the cheek/lip color!

About the bad day - I give myself a timer to really sit in my feelings, usually 10 minutes. Sulk or rage or cry as much as I can. Then I spend 10 minutes thinking of what I’m thankful for and planning to do about the issue or how to have a better day. It works for me and my daughter.

I grew up in real time with Little House on the Prairie and loved it so much. One of my girls ended up discovering it and asking for the season cd sets for gifts (this was before all the streaming of course). 🙂

The Walton's was my favorite shows when I was a tween. Little House was also good. However, the Walton's always struck me as more realistic. I always liked the grandparents best. Something about Grandma Walton calling Grandpa Walton an old fool always made me smile. My grandparents were first generation immigrants who grew up at that time and spoke Polish when they would disagree. Silly but good memories.

Actually, this is my everyday look and I always do winged eyeliner. I don't have symmetric eyelids and the winged liner, with eyeshadow strategically placed, helps to balance my look. Having hooded lids doesnt help, but I make it work!!
I grew up reading the Little House on the Prairie series and loved it, especially knowing Laura Ingalls Wilder was a real person. I never watched the series, I guess because my parents were watching something else. Very nostalgic, remembering my younger years and love of reading (and still read today).
