Father MOMOTARO ♂(2000/7/3)
He is hesitant in new situations and is a loner.
His father died before he was born, and he had never spent time with a silverback.
He had already turned into a silverback by the time he was 10 years old.
He is struggling with unfamiliar child-rearing.
MOMOTARO's father is BIJU.
MOMOTARO's mother is MOMOKO
Mother GENKI ♀ (1986/6/24)
She is 14 years older than Momotaro and has a role to support the whole family mentally.
She has had a tumultuous and eventful life.
She has returned to her birthplace, Kyoto City Zoo.
She had never been blessed with a baby but after meeting Momotaro,
she had two sons.
She is a very maternal female gorilla.
GENKI's father is MAC.
GENKI's mother is HIROMI.
First son GENTARO, male (2011/12/21)
He was separated from his mother Genki soon after he was born.
Genki's milk production was not very good.
He was raised by his keeper for his first10 months.
Because of this, he is very fond of humans.
His face is so expressive, and everyone enjoys watching him.
Second son KINTARO ♂ (2018/12/19)
He is just very strong-willed and independent.
He has big eyes and long eyebrows.
The way he plays a lot with his brother Gentaro makes everyone smile.
We can't wait to see what kind of gorilla he'll become!

Gentaro seems very frustrated. I wish the countries would pool their resources for the sake of the animals. Gentaro, Annie, Komoko, Momoka and others, need wide open spaces, plenty of good food, toys, pets and mates. More babies come.❤

@jor6426 I totally understand your point...sadly, humans are in control..we put these animals in this situation, we have to help preserve what we destroyed..but, it really does come down to money. It seems the smaller city zoos are the ones that hurt the most for finances, thanks to human population and no room to expand.

Wow. A lot of times I feel like people are attributing too much communicative intent to these critters but Kintaro was almost certainly trying to signal to Gentaro that he was in the wrong room and needed to go back outside. That was interesting to watch.

Er stemmt seinen Arm in die Seite, als wolle er sagen "was machst du, Bruder?" 😍
Er trommelt immer wieder mal gegen die Stahltür ... "wieder ganz hoch machen" ... und bleibt dann im Türrahmen geduldig sitzen, damit die Tür nicht ganz schließt, bis Gentaro um 9:26 wieder raus kommt. Gute gemacht, Kinny! 🐒😍
Kinny ist so süß, daß er das macht ❣️ Er liebt und hängt sehr an seinem großen Bruder, er will ihn beschützen und unterstützen. Genauso ist es auch bei Gentaro. Große Bruder Liebe❣️🐒🦍💖🥰

Ich hoffe auch, daß die Familie noch eine Zeitlang zusammen bleibt. Ich bin gespannt, wie das nach dem Umbau ist, ob dort im 1. Stock tatsächlich Gentaro und Kinny hin kommen. Wir können nur abwarten. Gentaro braucht dringend ein wenig Abstand und eigenes Leben. Auch wenn er sich mit seinem Dad an einem Tag mal wieder vertragen hat, darf man nicht vergessen, daß Momotaro immer die Nummer eins in der Familie als Silberrücken ist und er Gentaro weiterhin auf seinen (2. Platz) verweist. 🙆 Hoffentlich bleibt alles weiterhin ruhig in der Familie. ☺️💞
