Always nice to see an animation's [[backstage pass on sale now!]] the scenes. It came out so [[smooth taste]] and I really love the [[40% off lighting instillation]]. Not to mention the [[get quality surround sound cheap!]] this has, and the [[voices in your head]]. Spamton's voice really [[fits like a glove]].
both are equally terrifying for different reasons. Blocking with how unexpressive and unnerving he is, animated with how unpredictable and extreme his movements are
Fantastic CUNGADERO video, I really love to see the comparison between the behind the scenes and the finished work in the animation, you did well in my opinion to do this video. Also the woody animations before let them better after, they have their own charm. Good job :].
The animation is good but I can’t help to feel Spamton is really out of character. For me it’s sadder to think that Spamton geninuely found a kind of kinship in Kris from their similar feelings of helplessness and existential futility - and in Spamton’s deluded state he caused himself to believe that having his soul would free him when really it would make him a puppet to the player. That’s why Kris is so upset after the fight because the only person who understood his deepest fear just met a tragic end showing he can’t fight destiny and it’s useless
@@Le-cp9tr No, Toby has stated in a Fangamer stream that Kris is they/them. It's Frisk that can go by any because they're a blank slate for you to play the game with, Kris is their own character with wants and needs.
@@Le-cp9tr Yes, but that doesn't make any sense. Why would Berdly use they/them for Kris, he doesn't know there are two people in there. Plus, the game makes it clear that Kris and the soul are two different entities. To say Kris only goes by they/them because of it would be lumping the two together when they should stay separated for the sake of the story.
Question: How’d you do the custom eyes on the glasses? Did you put it onto the rig and change it using keyframes or is it some type of very awesome editing trick??
@@theepicgamingchanneld2082 I’m actually going to answer that in my upcoming video, but that’s a good question. However, it just involves generating a black dot on a 2D texture and rigging its location on said 2D texture
@ actually wasn’t expecting an answer since this videos 2 months old but thanks! I wanted to animate Spamton neo when I saw your animation and wondered how you did that. Thanks a lot!

Wow, so cool to see the changes in composition for the poses and angles, as well as the retiming of the glasses textures and other little details! :D So did you start by changing your keys to holds and then back to bezier before adding your breakdowns, etc.?
Funny you mention this, I know this isn’t how animation is traditionally done at all, but the blocking and final animation are in 2 separate projects. Once I finished the blocking, I started an entirely new project and began to animate. I just found it easier that way honestly. It made the animation process WAY less painful. I don’t animate using any of the workflows actually, I animate using my own I’ve just gained over the 2 or so years I’ve been animating What I do is animate one thing at a time. First the COG (centre of gravity), then the torso, arms, legs, neck, and head. Then I animate the other stuff after. Although that order depends on the scene I know where you’re at though, I’ve been there where I constantly wondered how animators do their blocking, and then somehow change it to spline. I…still wonder that from time to time. However just animate in which process seems best for you. In the industry, they don’t care. As long as you get it done, they’re fine
@@2cool4school2 Hey, I actually animate the same way! I start with the pelvis, then torso and head, then the limbs and finer details! I'd always wondered how it was done too, I'd kind of learned somewhat to do the blocking first in cutout animation, but still do this way, which I like to call straight-to-pose! First Kris is NB. Secondly, I feel like it would fit really well in a Snowgrave setting where you don't form any bonds with Spamton.
