Truthfully I think the onus falls on Cardi and everyone after Nicki. I agree Nicki has just as much sexually explicit content as the next female rappers these days but she came in the game with bars too, I can't fault her flaunting her assets to boost sales when Nicki actually has talent. After Cardi, it was acceptable to not write your own lyrics, after Meg, it was acceptable to get awards off the back of controversy/drama and after Ice Spice we don't even care about the lyrics anymore.
