      Warframe is notorious for having random cool bugs, i once teleported in space from 1 crewship(after destroying the reactor) to another crewship(new ship)

    For people who don't know Ballas was the faceless voice you see in Prime trailers describing his creations. The primes are mass produced golden age variants of his original creations. The versions we get that aren't Prime are watered down versions of these Warframes after years of mass production.

    • @shadowboy0126
      @shadowboy0126 3 дні тому +80

      Its kinda more complicated. Some Prime variants were granted as accolades for heros of the Orokin Era so they werent the original versions. Valkyr Prime also cant be the original Valkyr either. She was tortured by Alad V.

    I don't think Ballas gets enough credit as a villain. He's such a hateable prick and his influence over the Warframe universe is vast. He created the Warframes, he tricked the Orokin into letting the Sentients be created, he aided the Sentients in bringing down his own empire. And that's not even getting into what horrible, _horrible_ things he did on an individual basis. He was never too big to stop and peel the petals off of a flower that wasn't to his liking, only the flowers were people that slighted him by not doing exactly what he wanted.
    Every time we think he hit rock bottom in terms of evil the developers add more details about his deeds that horrify and disgust us all over again.

    • @voltus20
      @voltus20 3 дні тому +43

      @Psycorde I actually think the opposite imo. Ballas essentially wanted control over everything and he achieved that with the veils, Lotus's powers, and manipulation of the sentients. To answer Cross question, every warframe WAS once a person. The orokin infected volunteers and people they voluntold, it turned them crazy. The Tenno, your operator, was on a horrible accident on the Zariman Ten Zero, a colony ship with most likely, millions of people aboard. It experienced a void warp “explosion” or whatever it was called in game. This void can turn emotions and feelings into reality. It can twist the minds of an individual and turn nightmares into infinite realities. It’s why Rell was talking about the Man In The Wall.

Chains of Harrow really brought a perspective on autism to the WF universe, much respect to the devs to expand real world topics, i feel it encouraged more awareness, Autism is not Stupidity in fact most are very intelligent, just in terms of emotional stability they are sensitive and have difficulty displaying or controlling the emotions. The lore and storyline goes deep sometime and some parts fly over peoples head, but much respect on the depths they are willing to go. Amazing Storyline, i always wish i can wipe my memory and enjoy the storyline again for the first time...

    Welp, free context courtesy of someone who missed doing this quest: Rell was a Tenno outcast as far back as the Zariman days, the other children would often cast him out and scratch him as weird. When the ship got stranded in the void and all children got their void powers, only he knew the void's true nature, he studied it and "the man in the wall" until the ship was found by the Orokin. When the children got rescued and taken to Lua, Rell accidentally blinded Margulis and got cast out once again, which is why Lotus doesn't know of him. Eventually he found a group who were curious about him, he gave them all the information he knew and eventually led to the creation of the Red Veil. Rell used himself to safeguard the void entity he called the man in the wall, but upon realizing he wouldn't live the necessary years to protect reality from the entity due to not being put on the Reservoir, he fused his spirit with his own warframe Harrow (one which has no info about aside from his association with Rell).
    This is when it gets tricky, after the Tenno awoken their true power, Rell's own protection weakened, the entity was gaining strength and refusing his influence, which leads us to this quest.
    A bit of extra info about Rell, he's autistic, this got confirmed by Rebecca.

I don’t know if you noticed because of the skips in the video but Umbra can move around on his own while you’re in your Operator because he still has free will.

    52:53 Man...I've got to congratulate you on your understanding of the plot. It goes over so many peoples heads. I've seen so many people complete the entire game and not understand the "Look inside an ugly broken thing, and take its pain away" line the way you did straight away. The only thing you didn't get quite right is that Umbra is unique in needing the Operator to calm him...Ballas had another solution for the other frames. When the proto-frames started going mad, the Orokin lobotomised them. They stopped them from becoming murderous monsters like Umbra by surgically deleting their personality. It was not entirely successful.
    When your frame saves you by breaking the sword in Second Dream...that's the remnants of the human your frame used to be going "Fuck you Hunhow! I'm going to save my operator".
    What Ballas did to Umbra is the old, prototype version of trying to make Warframes, from before they had Tenno to calm them. Ballas deliberately let the Dax that became Umbra keep his memories knowing that the most visceral one would be all that's left after he was driven mad (because he'd seen it happen with all the other frames), turning Umbra into an immortal prison for Isaah's father, where the only memory he has left is killing his own son.

    • @ParagonGoetia
      @ParagonGoetia 2 дні тому

      This is incorrect, the protoframes didnt exist until Albert took Ballas work to 1999, the original frames were just in the same state as umbra but not reliving one singular memory, thats the difference.
      The first batch of warframes seemingly didnt have a bolt to be controlled at first and retained a lot of their original personality, such case is dante.
      The second round had bolts to better allow control over them and their individual attributes were more tamed. The final batch is the ones you make in game, duplicates without anything of the original except some manerisms.

    Every warframe is infested but not all of them are insane. Some are independent of Tenno like Dante, Umbra (duh), Stalker, and Jade (she even lulled her operator to sleep in her mind and pretended to be controlled for the entirety of the Old War). But Rhino Prime’s lore revealed the moment when they learned that the Tenno calmed the warframes when he was on a rampage until he busted into where the Tenno were kept and he just stopped. (Side tangent that isn’t related but I think is neat, some warframes are based on what happened to them in their human lives. Like Ember was someone sent to rescue survivors of the Zariman but she was burned by the Tenno, then became the fire frame)

    He did it, he made it past the barrier
    I considering anything pre operator the HARDEST part of the game, not difficulty wise but, learning, knowing what you’re doing, being optimal, that’s what’s hard
    How many lost hundreds of hour in the Orbiter jumping around not knowing what to do next? That’s what I mean by difficult
    After you get the operator it’s like a kick in the ass and everything is clearer out of a sudden

    (This is never fully explained in the game, but here's an explanation of what went on with your Tenno and Warframes and Umbra)
    Basically, all warframe 'types' come from an original infected person.
    But there can be multiple of each warframe type, copied, not only body, but also mind.
    And when a Tenno controls a warframe, they partially take on the persona (dream) of the original person that comprised the Warframe.
    So a Tenno in a Yareli warframe will act and fight like Yareli, for example.
    There are also some Warframes that may have been one type in the past, but events since have altered them into something new.
    (Usually exposure to the void, or to sentient power).

      Also, all warframes can be autonomous.
      But they are so traumatised by their creation, that they tend to just run berserk like feral animals.
      A Tenno, takes their pain away, and they are at peace, and no longer feel compelled to act out, or do, anything.
      BUT,
      they can feel compelled on occasion, like when your Wukong Warframe saved your Tenno from Shadow Stalker by breaking the Hunhow Blade.
      Umbra was obviously different, because Ballas made him out of spite.

    As a quick answer to your question. Yes every single warframe was at some point an orokin who was infected with the techno organic virus (a virus that turns bio mass into living metal) and then they cultivated it specifically to make the warframes. Howevee as we see with umbra it left the mind kinda messed up so ever since the zairaman got lost in the void and the children were effected by the indifference they can now tranfer their conciousmess into these bodies piloting them.

    Umbra's story is so sad, reliving the memory of killing Isaah and not having anyone to help him. And along comes the tenno, able to talk to him and help him process everything, and as ballas said. Take away its pain. Taking something broken and helping it by taking its pain.

    God I remember the old Sacrifice segments. They actually removed one instance of conflict with Umbra, and that's because of the Deadlock Protocol overhauling the Corpus Ships, so the tileset is no longer available. You used to have to deplete his shields (which would increase every instance you fought him) completely before you could stun him and use transference, they reworked that I think, because of the Operator overhaul that came with the Eximus overhaul update. (They replaced Void Dash with Void Sling to give people more control over movement with the Operator)
    Also, not *all* Warframes are infested, just the ones from the Old War days...I think.
