I have eight personal non shared cars, in all honesty I haven't driven half of them in months. Overall with running a business which is beyond a full work schedule it is hard to enjoy more than 3 cars in rotation. BTW project cars are never finished.

The best thing about Mercedes-Benz as a brand is that they make some excellent cars. On top of that, they can be had for cheap! All you have to do is wait for some accountant, doctor or lawyer to bring his lease back in exchange for a new one. Yeah, sure, it's slightly used, but it's an instant 35-40% off MSRP. Then, when people do buy used ones and expect not to have any maintenance costs (which is silly) they become even cheaper after they trade it back in for a Camry. The used Mercedes thing isn't for everyone... but for those of us who have done it for years, it's a hard habit to kick. I hope Tyler and Tavarish keep it up!!!
Hey man. I have a 2004 CL 600 600hp etc. It is a total beast. The real ' Iron hand in the velvet glove'. I'll never sell it ( unless I can afford a CL65 one day lol ). Ridiculously fast and destroys almost anything including it's tyres. The twin turbo v12 is definitely one of the greatest engines ever.

W203 Mercs with the 3.2 V6 shared the transmission and lots of parts with the Crossfire, so it's not really that unique.

That is a cool swap, but that Crossfire transmission can't handle the SL55 torque - I recall Tavarish saying as much in a previous video. It will be interesting to see what manual transmission he finds to work in the SL55, assuming he does actually try to make that swap. He's made some big promises with that car, I hope he can deliver.

Typically when automotive UA-camrs sell their cars, I don't care. Seeing Tyler sell the S600 crushed my soul...I've never been so hurt from a UA-camr's decision in my life lol wow *sheds tear*

Agree with Matt M. Maintenance nightmare! I'm the second owner of my S600. Bought it with 26,000 miles in 2009. Eight years later, my main memories in this car are being at the dealership (when under warranty) and at my indie mechanic shop (after warranty.) Two weeks ago, I pressed the Start button after the car sat for a couple of weeks in the garage. BAM! power steering hose burst ($1300). This car slits its own wrists! 1500 miles prior to this repair - turbo seals (silicone o-rings that decomposed) - $3800 (indie price) $15,000(dealer price). While we were at it, replace the motor mounts. On average, I have been able to drive about 800 miles before major repairs. And.... on this car, every repair is a major repair. Don't get me started on the ABC system that had to be replaced at 38,000. Basically, these cars are for the first owner who leases them for the first 20,000 miles. It gives Mercedes a chance to test new technology years before trickling down into the mainstream cars. So good for them, not so good for enthusiasts who want to drive them for the long haul. And for those who think you can buy a 3rd party extended warranty.... all of the companies say, literally, 'uh no.' Literally.
Update! 30 miles after this post, the transmission conductor plate AND the ABC pump pulsation damper both died.
WOW, what a money pit; never a car to own. LEASE IT. It’s a PERISHABLE VEHICLE...short shelf life. 147,000 to 4,500 should tell you. Nothing makes sense about owning this car.

Those are such wonderful cars, they are so comfortable and effortless to drive. The only bad thing with these are that they can be really costly to run if any problems occur.

JB weld for boats where the owner neglects to drain the cooling jackets and the freezing winter cracks the manifolds. I have a nice 2004 Sea Ray that got JB welded in 2007 and it’s still running fine today!
