Hi Sir, always had a doubt on Corporate NPS, which a lot of people are not able help me understand I am a salaried person working for a private company, the company gives 3 options 1. Contribute both Employer NPS and Employee NPS 2. Contribute Employer NPS only 3. Contribute Employee NPS only I understand these two options in old Tax 1. Employer contributions of 10% comes under Section 80CCD(2) of the old tax regime 2. Personal Voluntary contribution of Rs50000 per year, this claimed under 80CCD(1B) - Please note 80C of 1.5LK is exhausted with other investments (LIC and PF) I am under old Tax regime under the 30% bracket I am under the impression that 80CCD(2) & 80CCD(1B) will go over and beyond the 1.5Lakh limitation in 80C if 80CCD(2) doesnt go over and above 80C limit then Employer contribution is pointless and answers my question So if my Basic salary is 764384 Annually, 10% of that is 76438 My plan was I allow Employer ony to contribute 76,438 annualy and that will be minus out of my taxable income 80CCD(2) (saving of Rs22931 per year if I consider 30% of 76438) On top of that if I do a voluntary contribution of 50,000 and that will be minus out of my taxable income 80CCD(1B) (Saving of 15000 per year if I consider 30% of 50000) So in total, a saving of 37931 per year in NPS alone, this does not include 80C tax savings Is this logic correct?
@@prashantchauhan4843 no ji Central govt employees can choose any fund manager as per their choice. They can only avail auto choice (LC50, LC25) and active choice only Govt bond (100%) and the 3rd option is standard/default. For the first two cases, a govt employee can change fund managers only once a year and scheme up to two times a year. This is applicable to all central government civilian employees under NPS. (Please read the Ministry of Finance Gazette Notification dated January 31, 2019) I don't know about the State Government employees.

Government employees can also choose any fund manager.
Little knowledge is a dangerous thing, and when it comes to finance it is very dangerous.
How can they choose. The option is not available online
Gov employees can't choose their fund manager in tier 1 acc.
If they want to choose then they will have to make tier 2 acc.
