Anakaris is one of those underrated characters. My friend use to pick anakaris, ironman, phsylocke. Before that team he went wolverine small claws, anakaris, hayato or felicia He was super insane with those characters. I played anakaris dude felt super slow he played it an it competed with my Thrax, insaaaane.

I think I was playing vampire savior 2 about two nights ago and tried Anakaris for the first time seriously and had a blast...victor and morrigan have been my mains for years now but now that I've tried Anakaris I think he's my favorite...his fake out game is superb and you can literally stay in the air and beat on your opponent from above... then come down and become a grappler....op character man.
Pretty sure he's considered the worst character in Darkstalkers 3 (no grab and useless alpha counter really hurt him) but some people still manage to beast with him.

With the fighting game knowledge I have now, like 15 years ago when the MUGEN modding scene was huge. I missed out on SOO many supers with charged input moves, The kof inputs, and gerenally the crazy shit you'd never do when first picking up a fighter for the first time ever. Lmao like who remembers all those ported characters in MUGEN homies? It was the shit back in the day. Their were some really good characters besides the obvious 1 sprite joke characters.
The few times I came across Anakaris in MVC2 online ended with me being crushed badly. I had no idea how to approach that character. This game has so many fun characters.
I've teamed Anakaris with Iron Man and War Machine before, Watch the Magic Flow when you do a team super, also be sure to choose projectile type with War machine for the super of course.

i forget what the mods called but there’s a mod for umvc3 that adds mvc2 sentinel plus a bunch of other new characters. you should lab it up with mvc2 sentinel and then play some parsec matches with a storm/sent/3rd char team.

Love the character variety usually all you see is top tier online matches so its refreshing seeing the other characters getting some love
