i love how the spy: holds his revolver with his first hand holds his watch with the second holds his clip to reload into the revolver with his third hand at the same time
I love MrP, there are loads of expert trickstabbing spies out there but MrP is calm, consistent and only stabs when the opportunity arises, but still ends up dominating the enemy team.
I think there are three types of spies the "classic" spy like MrP, the trickstabber and the mix between these two. The trickstabber takes a lot of skill and practice while the classic one takes only the ability to predict people, stab consistently and the ability to know when to strike. The trickstabber spy should know all that + being able to manipulate other peoples movement. The mix ofcourse should should know all of that but is probably the most effective at first when you want to transit from the classic one to the trickstabber. If you want to become a real trickstabber start at the classic spy and work your way up to mix and then you'll become a trickstabber. Ofcourse you can choose which one of these you are going to play each round as long you meet that requirements.
This was possibly one of the most helpful videos I've ever watched. As someone who's always had trouble playing a decent Spy, I can now manage to flank most enemy teams and pull off a few backstabs before recloaking and resetting my circuit. Thank you, Paladin!

Why does Mr.Paladin sound like he's doing a Bob Ross painting tutorial? "Good Day Y'all Mr.Bob Paladin Ross here and today I'm going to be showing you the art of playing spy."
I've always referred to this strategy as "looping". Yeah- you basically find some comfortable routes that loop around advantageous areas and keep striking. This works well in areas where you can have the high ground for a good duration of the loop, as that presents you with the most options and safety.
I do circuits as a scout and pyro too. These sort of optimized paths also seem to occur within high level quake plays. Generally seems that discovery of these optimized routes are common across higher levels of play.
Am I the only one noticing how much mr P sounds like Bob Ross later on in the video. The calmness of the voice, the sleepy vibe and the whole descrpition of what is happening as if he was not playing but watching what is happening.
And for everybody else. Last time I faced something like that, on Badwater last, not even THREE SIMULTANEOUS UBERCHARGES (my VAC-cinator V-2.2.1 combined with two Stock medics) were enough to break through. At least I got revenge on the next round by trapping them in spawning without even letting them push the payload anywhere close to the tunnel.
I always have to respect how calm and relaxed your videos are, and combined with the violence of the game it makes this calming attitude which makes you just want to play TF2! Anyways, love your vids, love your channel, and keep on doing what you love: Kicking ass as spy. :)
I like spy because I like the feeling of infiltrating the other team's base, then you get found out go invis then perfectly avoid everything, to THEN having a 5 star wanted level and freaking the team out. IT'S GREAT!
Your still doing these holy shit I remember when I first got tf2 and wanted to play spy your videos helped me so much love your videos I am so surprised and happy your still doing how a spy thinks videos teaching the generation of spies 😃
I think this may be the most deceptive Spy tip that's relevant to countering Spy by which I mean, if you want to make things hard for a Spy, knowing that they like to do circuits is a *very* useful tip but I think if you're trying to actively make use of that knowledge, you aren't doing whatever else your team needs you to do, and the Spy is just successfully wasting your time
Other Team: (Sees Mr. Paladin) “Let’s deconstruct our entire team into support classes. We don’t need pick or power classes, those are for nerds and/or middle schoolers who listen to Linkin Park on full blast.” This is how a team gives up the game while still technically trying to do the objective.
yep, but the only time I made myself seen was at the stab, so the only people seeing a pattern emerging is the ones being killed. Thats why you only saw those who I had stabbed checking their backs at all!
I've been taking these videos and watching them. Then i'd use the lessons of these videos and apply them to the Robox version of TF2 called Typical Colors 2. Due to how Roblox works, i find a lot of them to be useful
I was spartenFedor in the last game you played, and there were like 4 spies on our team after we discussed that you were actually Mr. P. xD (and if I recall, I tried to shoot you in the back)
Yer I was doing very little to hide my ID, keeping the badge and using a name I'm known to alias as :) I think I saw you go afk outside of spawn at one point and thats a usual sign that I'm being "made" over the comms :)

I love MrP, there are loads of expert trickstabbing spies out there but MrP is calm, consistent and only stabs when the opportunity arises, but still ends up dominating the enemy team.
And it's not even his main goal, his aim is nothing but cause disruptions that his team can profit off of, like a spy _should_ do.
He plays like the spy is meant to be played, not keep going for chain trickstabs that worm once in a million and keep dieng each round

See, I love this series cus it's giving me loads of ideas for my own tutorial series. We Pyros will get the best of you Shpees yet :P
