Dear bass manufacturers, can you please include some fingerstyle playing in your demos, as not everybody wants to slap. Almost any bass can sound 'impressive' when slapped. I'm sure this bass does sound amazing in all playing styles, but your are really not showing of the instrument to it's fullest by limiting the playing styles used.
agreed I been playing bass for 20 years now, and I only play slap when I am bored, drunk, or showing off..lol. I play finger style 95% of the time, with a bit of pick tossed in now and again...would love to here someone actually play a bass like a guitar instead of a drum
Why so many slap tones in the demo? Fingerstyle ( only a few seconds in this video) or with Pick would be also very interesting! The String-spacing and flat Fretboard-radius are not so easy to slap but good for the other styles...
CRIKEY!!! It's More Than Obvious That This Gentleman LOVES PRIMUS. Regards To Les Claypool For Being An Virtuoso Bassist, As Well. That Said, A Little Fingerstyle, Fusion & Funkadelia Would Have Been Favorable.
Good work Cort really nice to see some improvements, But i was expecting this new Bass to have Fisherman Pickups and i also expected this bass to have some different color look
Well now after almost 2 year I finally bought this bass, to be very honest i like it's sound since i am finger style player mostly, but kind of hard to do some slapping some how because of the strings spacing. But the quality of its construction makes me very very sad 😔. Because it has multiple scratches around the top side of the fretboard. And the screws that holds the bridge isn't there properly they make the bass looks like used once even do it's new. So really never expected from Cort like this. Hopefully they helped me on replacing my Cort A5 Beyond Open Pore bass for a good same bass but finished very well.
i dont know for sure but i think the a5 plus has a slightly wider fretboard... and has standard frets instead of fanned. I think for the price you might be better off with the a5 plus as nothing else is different other than those things. Let me know if you bought one and which one you bought, I'm deciding between this and the a5 plus aswell

Same here, double thumping does not tell me much about the sound of the instrument....
It’s like they got a banjo player to demonstrate a bass…
I think that is missing, they testing only doing slap, i have not something against, but the capacity it seems like reduced for we to avalue!

Awesome bass and tones. I missed some fingerstyle and non-slap sounds.
🤤🤤🤤
Beautiful sound
is fishman soapbar, 5 strings, multiscale and some neat colors too much to ask for?

How is it different from SCMS model except for the top wood and color? Is there anything else?
I think they added some babunga somewhere

Gnarly tone... plays woven web from AAL
35.5" to 34" multiscale neutral fan closer to 7th fret, swamp ash body, roasted maple 5 piece neck, Fishman Fluance pups, translucent colors (bonus) please. Nice job with the innovation though!!

Nice - how thick is the neck on this?
Awesome 😊
Bass is just slapped only
Flips active switch, doesn't say a word about EQ ... so, what's the point?
I want it! 😋😋
Hello, anyone knows what's the difference between this one and the A5 plus? Still the single cut multiscale one
