Clarification : most of muslims doesn't consider themselves to be following any of those... they are just muslims. The idea is that those are schools, so for a student to be a scholar he needs to study based on a methodology, and those methodologies comes to an origin that is mainly one of the four Imams. We pray together in the same mosque beside each other in the same line and behind one Imam.
I am Muslims, and in reality hanafi and hanbali and maliki and chafii are the same thing they're all people of sunna and salafi is not a group, someone called salafi is someone who follow the sunna of prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) and understanding it by the acts of salaf which is an Arabic word means the predecessors (the sahaba and who lived in their time) and in reality all hanafi and shafii and hanbali and maliki follow salaf
and in Islam Muslims don't say I am shafii or hanbali or maliki or hanafi because those names refers to scholars (imam shafii, imam Ahmad ibn hanbal, imam Abu hanifa, imam Malik) they're mentioned because each of them had a way to teach people and to make fatwa

Sunnis or Shias or any other group are not a part of Islam. Qur'an 30:31-32 clearly states to not be polytheists or divide into sects. Shi'ism is full of polytheism and they believe Ali (RA) is even above Allah (SWT) which is shirk. associating partners with Allah (SWT) or putting someone other than him or above him is the greatest sin in Islam. Hey there. ISIS, Al Qaedah, and such are not part of Salafi Islam, contrary to the popular belief. They are classified as Khawarij (Khariji in singular), since they have rebelled against the rulers in charge. It would've been better would've been better to have added Khawarij as it's own category, Since it would've represented those extremist groups more clearly. I would also like to mention that these people didn't get these from the top of their heads. The sects will destroy themselves, and take the wrongdoers they came with along with them. The beauty is seeing how they hasten to their own demise, with their own hands. 😂😂
This has to be one of the most naive explanations of these sects, an ashari isn't just a guy who forbids apostasy and a Salafi isn't just someone who hates music, there are three major sects: (salafi, ashari, and maturidi) and each one has his own belief system and way of approaching religious texts In a nutshell: Salafis tend to maintain the understanding of the salaf (the first three muslim generations) when reading a text and they also believe that we should interpret said texts by the meaning that first comes to mind when reading them(المعنى الظاهر) on the other hand, asharis believe that we should heavily depend on philosophy and logic when interpreting the text and that if a we find that a certain verse doesn't make sense,we have to reinterpret it in a way that doesn't contradict phillsophy or Aristotelian logic, maturidis are like them in this core belief. These are what can be called (sects of sunni islam) the other five(hanafi, maliki, shafi, hanbali, zahiri) do not differ in the core belief system but only in jurisprudence. They are more of different schools of jurisprudence than different religious sects. I hope this comment can be helpful, because man people on the internet look like they know nothing about these people.
Ashari and Maturidi are two of three theological traditions. While Salafi, Wahabi, etc are modern movements within the Athari theological tradition. All Athari are of the Hanbali Legal tradition. Common in Saudi Arabia, Qatar etc. Ashari theology is accepted by Shafi and Maliki Legal traditions. North Africa is Maliki while East Africa and SE Asia, Kerala are Shafi. Both are theologically Ashari. Maturidi is the theological tradition accepted by the Hanafi Legal tradition. It's common in Central, South Asia and Anatolia, Levant, Egypt, Balkans.

All the practical (amali) schools (madhabs) in the video are within the Ahlus Sunnah. But only two theological (aqaid) schools (madhab) in the video are within the Ahlus Sunnah, and they are the Asharis and the Maturidis. Neo-Salafism is a distortion movement that emerged later. It was founded in the 1950s and 1960s with the support of British Imperialism and Zionist bankers. It showed a small spread in the Arab geography. However, they are still supported by Zionists and their voices are heard by the whole world thanks to this support. Thanks to this, they are spreading rapidly. Allah protect Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah from the invented ways. Remember, all the mujahideen sultans in history were Sunni (Ashari and Maturidi). (Actually, all of Islamic history, including the Rashidun caliphs, is Sunni (Ashari, Maturidi), but since the neo-Salafis do not accept this, I wanted to give examples that cannot be denied from a historical perspective.)

As a muslim, i feel this kind of division is kinda wacky. since the first four are not actually a creed of islam, but only school of jurisdipendence, they are free to be followed in any sunni creed, and not limited to one thus their applicances do often overlap with each other. sufiism isn't a creed neither, it's a mysticism approach in islam which can be found in other branches of islam such as bektashi, shia, or ahmadiyya. so i think you are confusing between creeds, method, and school of thoughts.

None of these are sects within Islam per se and there is no animosity between the followers of any of these schools as all are accepted as sound and correct ways of interpreting the Qur'an & Hadith. Salafi is a revival movement and can indeed be considered a sect within Sunnis. Other sects would be Deobandi, Barelvi, Ahl Hadith, Wahabi etc. The choice of information in the fact files for each school focusing on their views on 'apostasty, music, "parties" and "friendships with non-Muslims" is so strange and shows such a school boy understanding of the rich intellectual history of these schools that you couldn't even teach this to kindergarteners. Clarification : most of muslims doesn't consider themselves to be following any of those... they are just muslims. Stay firm to the Rope of Allah Subhana WaTa'Ala. The Salaf have left us with the unyielding preservation. They can never destroy Islam. The sects will destroy themselves, and take the wrongdoers they came with along with them.
The beauty is seeing how they hasten to their own demise, with their own hands. 😂😂
This has to be one of the most naive explanations of these sects, an ashari isn't just a guy who forbids apostasy and a Salafi isn't just someone who hates music, there are three major sects: (salafi, ashari, and maturidi) and each one has his own belief system and way of approaching religious texts
In a nutshell:
Salafis tend to maintain the understanding of the salaf (the first three muslim generations) when reading a text and they also believe that we should interpret said texts by the meaning that first comes to mind when reading them(المعنى الظاهر)
on the other hand, asharis believe that we should heavily depend on philosophy and logic when interpreting the text and that if a we find that a certain verse doesn't make sense,we have to reinterpret it in a way that doesn't contradict phillsophy or Aristotelian logic, maturidis are like them in this core belief.
It's already explained by the audio narrative of the video. Many people watched the video but didn't listen to the audio.

However, they are still supported by Zionists and their voices are heard by the whole world thanks to this support. Thanks to this, they are spreading rapidly. The choice of information in the fact files for each school focusing on their views on 'apostasty, music, "parties" and "friendships with non-Muslims" is so strange and shows such a school boy understanding of the rich intellectual history of these schools that you couldn't even teach this to kindergarteners.
And what is up with the silly "rating" into moderate, strict and extreme. According to whom exactly? The whole video reeks of misinformed Islamophobic orientalism super charged with Western bias, ignorance and post-9/11 hysteria. The grim, frowny and angry look on all the animations over-used to depict 'evil' Muslims does not go unnoticed either.
If your're gonna do Islamophobia, don't do such a bad job of trying to hide it.
Islam is growing and they hate that…therefore they are trying to cause fitna
As a Muslim I never heard this things in my entire life
Join a Madrasah then
THESE ARE SCHOOLS NOT DIFFERENT TYPE P
OF ISLAM, ISLAM IS ONE!
dude, will you do another video like that? maybe this time the number of types of another religion?
nice to not hear a robot voice
Brother you should also add Sufi teachings and Practices, it has its own distinct existence...
There is one Islam, those are schools of thought, which are different at secondary things. They agree on most things and disaagree on secondry things
These aint different sects they all believe in the same thing
Blud forgot Atharis but mentioned Salafis
I understood that Salafism is based upon the understanding of Sahaba and their students. Im pretty sure that Salafism is not and extreme school of thought. Correct me if Im wrong. Also I understood that !s!s and Al Q@ida are Khawarij and not salafi. Can someone explain to me truly what Salafism is? Im kinda struggling to choose which school of thought should I follow as a Sunni.
@anonyymi2092 Well, the real one is salafi..,I'm not sheikh, but the real islam is salafi. You might find it really strict..,but as long as you start to understand it ,you find it really beautiful and peaceful...,never believe people who said salafi are bad and etc..,never..,they are actually good, but you just unsee it..
That's what I know, alhamdulillah
@anonyymi2092 and one thing ,why salafi is good bcuz they follow the rule of quran and sunnah from the prophet (peace be upon him)
@@meowmoewmao_ JazakAllah khair ya Akhi. I am teatering towards being a Salafi. Yea i knew that Salafiyah cant be extreme. It aint even that strict tbh but yes, I do think that following the understanding of Sahaba (R.A) should be the best way to follow and practice Islam.
@@anonyymi2092 When it comes to ISIS And Al Qaeda they are khawarij not salafi
Proud to be Muslim without any sect
Negative criticism of salafi not good.
For all of you to know. After the. Prophet S.A.W , it was the four calipht , abubak'r, omar, uthman, ali, after theme , tabiin, tabi ut tabiin, after theme , the four imaam, imaam shafi'i, imaam hanafi, imaam malik , imaam hambal, then the ulama . And that four is following those four imaam . And i am following the salafi , because they are following the qur - an and hadith .
Islam ek hi hai Jo nabi Muhammad (saw) Ka hai
Wow❤❤❤
bro there are no types of islam, it's only one, people does not define islam (those mentioned in the video) but quran and authentic books (records of the prophet peace be upon him).
that's the islam brother.
In sunnis there are only 4 school of Fiqh
(School Of Thought) Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i and Hambali.
in Sunnis there are only 2 School of Aqeedah (School Of Theology) the ash'ari and the maturidi)
In My Country Malaysia,We followed asy-shafie as our school of thought and for school of theology we followed ash'ari school named ashairah..
In malaysia we banned and strictly forbid the teaching of shi'ism and wahhabism (Salafism) here in our country.
We Muslimin in Malaysia adhere to SUNNI jurispurdence, tradition and practice.. we are Ahlul Sunnah Wal Jamaah (aswj) Alhamdulillah,Aamiin..
These arent types of islams, these are methodologies in interpreting divine texts. Two theological and the schools of thought. Salafi is a sect.
Salafi isn't a sect
The title, pinned comment and the video content are completely different.
Islam is just one and there is no type of Islam these are firqas which is prohibited in Islam and clearly mentioned in Surah e Al Anaam
