Fun fact, Disney held a contest among the crew to come up with the name for DW. Alan Burnett who worked for Disney came up with the name for Darkwing Duck and won the contest before leaving Disney to work on Batman Tas.
It's so sad that Disney's interest in physical media releases for their TV shows has gone the way of the dodo. Gargoyles & Ducktales got their final volumes years ago so it felt like we were getting THIS close to that final Darkwing Duck set. I suppose the last batch of episodes at least being available legally on Disney+ is a solace but it's not enough for me or any of us.
I hope the 20th Television Animation shows are up next like in the Closer Look series like The Simpsons, Family Guy and Futurama since they're owned by Disney now.
@@MorganTyler86 That is true, because The Simpsons in on Disney+ whilest Family Guy and Futurama are on Hulu in the US and STAR internationally outside the US.
Very unlikely to ever happen by this point. I mean, we're still waiting for it to be finished on DVD, and Disney seems to have pretty much abandoned releasing stuff like this on physical media, with all their focus now on Disney+.
I have Darkwing Duck vol 1 and 2 on DVD and my Darkwing Duck shirt which it says I am the terror that flaps in the night on it it's been awhile since I have finished watching Darkwing Duck
There’s been longer gaps (but not many) between releases, is still a very minuscule chance to get the complete series, and if they do maybe they’ll throw the hour version of the premier in there power of positive thinking🤗
The hour-long version of Darkly Dawns the Duck was also released on laserdisc back in the day, so that's probably worth tracking down.

Since Disney owns those don't expect them on DVD ever again
