I am a professional cook for a fire department I think for the most part your recipe is pretty good. You missed one key ingredient that I don’t think any good cook would have missed not saying you’re a bad cook. You need onions in there, my friend you didn’t use one onion, no no no green or brown onion but it looks pretty good to me. You didn’t cook it long enough. I believe you needed to bake it at least another 20 minutes. It wasn’t brown enough and it needs to be a little more crispy on the top, but I’m gonna try your recipe and put my onions in it and a couple of other things that I feel that you left out like celery things like that but Thank you for the nice recipe and I would definitely make up those lobster bay biscuits they are fantastic. I can’t make them better myself from scratch and they go so well with chicken casserole pot pie. Whatever you wanna call it try that good old man. 👍🏻❣️
I was thinking the same thing as it looked like chicken pot pie with out being in a pie.... Not sure if it looks better, but it sure dose look good... I seen this made with biscuits on top...
LOVE the hat! I'll be trying this very soon...looks easy, cost effective and really yummy. As a single senior I will divide it just as you did to share with my recently widowed neighbor. Comfort food like this is helpful.
That's a lot of butter!!!! Nice recipe though! The chicken can be swapped out for turkey leftovers, pulled pork or even fish fillets. Thanks for sharing!!
I love this recipe I use my 12 inch cast iron dutch oven and add some red potatoes half cooked I also use rotisserie chicken smoked on my traeger before adding it to the dish then smoke the whole thing on my traeger ironwood with Hickory for 1 hour then kick up the heat till done ,amazing easy dinner. And you get to use cast iron and a smoker win win!
You cozy chicken cobbler looks delicious Dave! That Red Lobster 🦞 biscuit mix was a great idea! 😃 Another nice dish to make! Thanks for sharing! Have a good week ahead!
I will try it, probably tomorrow. Gonna make some substitutions but, have all but one of the ingredients on hand! Liked the way you shredded the chicken, I'll try that as well, thanks!
Dave , great recipe & yes on us & the girls. I am going to add frozen peas/carrots & use half & half instead of milk to make it richer. You could actually use pie dough & make these into large pot pies , but if not I will make croissants on the side with a small bowl of cottage cheese with fresh cracked black pepper on the side. Honey sweet ice tea to drink.keep your stick on the ice
@TheCooknShare ty Dave, glad you like my ideas, we are back and forth between the 2 houses , still only have about 2/3 of our stuff moved to the new house , I hate moving , lol , see you at the lodge pal
So far everything you made looks delicious the meatloaf the chicken pot pie I want to listen to comments or negative I love your channel and I can't wait to get home and make the stuff love you ❤️
Hi Dave, I have used the Red Lobster biscuit mix before. But this is even a better use for it. Looks so yummy and gives a good gravy too. Never thought of using a mixer to shred chicken either. I am learning new things.
Well dang! You surprised me! I thought for sure the biscuit mix was going to land on top like biscuits, but there it went, right into the mix as a binder. RL Cheddar Bay Biscuits are da 💣. This one's going in the book! Thanks Dave!
Oh my that looks AWESOME! I'm adding this to my private for only me Playlist for referencing during the Early Autumn 🍂 days. Know husband and I will love! Thanks 😊!
Made it last night! Delicious 😋 Thank you for sharing ❤ Easy which is a plus! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I did find the Red Lobster rolls at Walmart but going to get a few packages to have one hand because some times don’t have the time or just don’t want to cook and this is soooo easy! 🙏❤️
Looks good, and ya, I'll probably go with a Costco rotisserie chicken, especially since three boneless, skinless, chicken breasts costs more then one Costco chicken in my area.
I personally prefer cubed chicken...just sayin. Also the vegies on top look like they dried out. It does look easy to do and probably would taste good, but vegies should for sure go on top of the chicken-don't you think?
I made this-it is absolutely delicious! One of the tastiest dishes I’ve ever made. But, unfortunately, the leftovers are not that great. The only word I can think of to describe it is “packy”, or maybe “doughy”. Regardless, not very good. Did you happen to find this also? Any suggestions for reheating the leftovers? 😊 Otherwise, it is a really good recipe!
Why anyone cooks chicken breasts is beyond me… they are dry and flavourless! Anytime you have to cook chicken in a liquid, you are so much better off using chicken thighs …
I am sorry but I never have left overs, and I do not buy packaged items, but then I live in Australia and we do have packaged food but it seem to be not as much as the USA. I have never used chicken stock unless I have made it. Sorry to rain on your parade.
Great recipe!! I will definitely try this. My addition to your recipe would be a layer of homemade placed on top and then back in to the oven and crisp it up a bit!!
The spices in the biscuit box I think is gonna be like the McCormick “Old Bay” spice blend. Also in the States, Dollar Tree sells a small biscuit mix in a bag for 1.25 USD that is pretty similar and good. ❤❤❤. PS they need more OLD BAY.

It reminds me of chicken pot pie, but it looks even better! I definitely want to make this sometime soon.
In many ways yes.
I was thinking the same thing as it looked like chicken pot pie with out being in a pie.... Not sure if it looks better, but it sure dose look good... I seen this made with biscuits on top...
Cozy and comfort food 👍😋

Hi Dave, I have used the Red Lobster biscuit mix before. But this is even a better use for it. Looks so yummy and gives a good gravy too. Never thought of using a mixer to shred chicken either. I am learning new things.

@@TheCooknShare Dave I try a lot of your recipes as they are so quick, economical and delicious. My husband loves them.
Great. Thanks so much for letting me know.
Good evening Dave, another great recipe ❤
Thanks, Natali. Hope all is well.
Niiiice! Never thought of using a boxed biscuit mix, esp the Cheddar. Need to find a gluten free version.
Thank you!!
Have a blessed day!
xxoo
Sure. That would work. Hope you enjoy.
Looks delicious Dave... Definitely will be replicating with more veggies but also home cooked chicken like you did (way better that way) 😊
Hope you enjoy. Let me know.

Great. Hope you enjoy.
I made this tonight. I will cut down on the pepper. But I have to say, had to go back for more, couldn't help myself.😂😂😂
Looks Great !
I love your voice. Casserole looks delicious.
Thanks so much. Hope you try it.
Does the biscuit batter totally cook throughout the mixture? It does look yummy.
Yes, I find it does. Hope you try it.
Made it last night! Delicious 😋

@@TheCooknShare Yes but I live in NW Florida so glad I found it at our Walmart! 🤞😃
Tasty.
I bet some shredded cheese on top would be good, too!
Great idea.
Thanks. Great recipe and video. Living outside the US makes the Red Lobster mix very pricey. Can I use bisquick and add some grated cheddar?
Sure you can. Hope you enjoy. Let me know.
Loos delicious
🖐🏻👍this is a keeper
Thanks so much.
Looks god
I never heard anyone call chicken pot pie cobbler. Hmm
❤
I love thyme with chicken. I would add 1teaspoon of dried thyme. 😋
Sure. That sounds like a plan.
@@TheCooknShare I've never tried fresh thyme. What amount would you suggest?
I would use a sprig. Hope this helps.
Thank you.
😋
I would imagine that you can substitute the chicken with turkey and it would be just as tasty!
Sure you could. That would be great.
👍
Clicked on the full recipe link you provided. My software caught malware on your page. You may want to investigate this.
I'll look into that.
It’s in the oven ⏲️
Great. Hope you enjoy. Let me know.
You didn't follow the package instructions? It calls for adding shredded cheder and it seems you used a lot more milk.
I did. We must have different packages.
Cheddar, you forgot the missing ingredient, cheddar cheese in the biscuit mixture.
Very true. You can sure add it.
Looks good, and ya, I'll probably go with a Costco rotisserie chicken, especially since three boneless, skinless, chicken breasts costs more then one Costco chicken in my area.
Great idea. Their chickens are always good and inexpensive.
I personally prefer cubed chicken...just sayin. Also the vegies on top look like they dried out. It does look easy to do and probably would taste good, but vegies should for sure go on top of the chicken-don't you think?
Me too. I don't care for the texture of shredded chicken.
Sure you can. Actually, they weren't dry at all. They baked in the broth. Over the chicken is great too.
If that's what you like... then you DO YOU
Could this be done in a slow cooker?
I wonder if it could be. If you try it, let me know.

Chicken pot pie
Yes, it is kind of.
No cheese?
You can add it if you like. Great idea.
Did this guy just pronounce ‘MILK’ as ‘ mill ik’ … good God 😮. How sad is that 😮😮😮
I was joking!
Why anyone cooks chicken breasts is beyond me… they are dry and flavourless! Anytime you have to cook chicken in a liquid, you are so much better off using chicken thighs …
I find if I pound a boneless chicken breast before cooking you find it doesn’t dry out. It cooks so much faster doesn’t have a chance….
Just because you can't cook it doesn't mean others can't. I only use chicken breast and never had a problem.
@@seycas118 I find thighs to be a bit fatty.
Sure. You can use them if you want. Done breasts for years. Always great with seasoning.
I prefer thighs myself. Not only more forgiving, to my palate they are more flavorful.
This recipe has been on allrecipes for several years . THIEF
What are you talking about? I said I got it from TikTok. I in no way claimed it was mine. Watch the beginning of the video.
