my favorite cover for this song on youtube. Im a guitar player and I love seeing both guitar and drum covers, and for now, this one is my favorite for the art of dying.. Well Played!
Holy shit, 4:15 onwards is incredible, not saying the rest isn't great but this part sounds particularly good, the drums really complement the vocals in this bit.
Thank you! Yeah, my old bass drum trigger was sort of shitty. My sound has changed a lot in the meantime, so if you want you can check out my new videos and tell me what you think about it now!
Thank you! Dance Of Eternety is much more difficult in terms of crazy time signature changes and memorizing each small detail (I still haven't nailed that until today), while there are some complex polyrhythms going on in this one here. And of course the crazy double bass parts and blast beats are something different than Dream Theater :D Both aren't exactly easy, but The Art Of Dying is so much more fun to play for me personally.
Killer!can you give me some tips about double bass ?my damn right foot ankle aint workin after almost 3years of playing.I cant even feel it,the basketball feeling in the ankle I mean.the left foot's fine.
+Farid Vazirnia make sure that you sit high enough and go for power and precision, not for speed when practicing, speed will come on its own eventually. also try to use your ankles and not your full legs when playing at high speeds. still, it's probably better to take lessons from a real teacher who can analyze your technique, instead of me :)
When you mastered this song i think you can safely say you've mastered metal drumming at it's finest. This is amazing
man...this almost sounds like it's mario himself who is playing. you did a great job in here.
Dude that was rad man!! That takes crazy amount of practice! The beginning is super technical! So coo man great job!
+Damien Perez Thank you :)

My favorite cover of this song. Great job! The beginning is great with the "unexpected" snares and apparently "asymmetric" rythm.
