After having defeated the evil Grand Vizier Jaffar, the brave Prince claimed just one reward: the hand of the beautiful daughter of the Persian Sultan. However, as the Prince approached the palace, his appearance suddenly turned into that of a beggar. Someone who looked just like the Prince ordered to throw him out. It turns out that Jaffar is alive and back for vengeance. Banished from the palace, the unfortunate Prince must travel to faraway lands and find a way to defeat the villain.

Basically emulation issues. When running the game on Sound Blaster, the TAS-enabled emulator (JPC-RR) would crash. Luckily the community is working on new TAS emulation options for DOS that do support SB

With digitized sound, the game always crashes after a certain cutscene in the ruins; I think this happens even on real hardware. The only way I ever found to get past it was to save before the cutscene, change to PC speaker, do the cutscene, and then save and change the sound back.

@@ronny1979tube Sure. We have discovered this by accident. It so happens that when you put your back against the wall and do a 180° turn, there is a specific frame for which collision detection isn't active. This triggers you into entering the wall. Then, inside the wall the kid stays in a constant bump animation unless (and until) you a full turn and do the same trick again. Rinse and repeat until you get the other side of the wall.

Its because we couldnt use soundblaster due to the memory limitations of the emulator
